Disaster has struck… technology is great until it isn’t. My phone calendar (which is also backed up on my Mac & in the cloud) has completely vanished.

I have tried restoring it in the cloud, absolutely everything Google & Apple support say and nothing is working.

Guess what’s on there? EVERYTHING.

The only dates I have backed up outwith my calendar are weddings.

So if you have a wedding with me, no panic you are backed up & back in my diary.

If we have ANY shoot from today onwards (including the 60 personality minis I have in 😭) please please send me a message with the date & time.

I am about to start working my way through messages & get all dates back in my diary but this will genuinely take me hours.

Have I ordered a paper diary? Yes. Yes I have 😟

Please can you also share this so as many clients as possible can see 😭 embarrassed doesn’t even come close. Fuming with myself for not having a paper back up 💗

I’m not sure how to sum up over 15 years of our beautiful business but this weekend we officially handed it over to Jill at

Our store is empty, the keys handed back and I dropped the final items into the showroom 😢
It’s all ready for its new chapter.

Our OG couples will remember this but when I first started Fairytale Designs, it was myself and Gavin (my hubby) who started it all off. Making stationery was the main focus, but slowly decor took over. Meeting in our house, back when owning a showroom was just a dream.

We both worked full time, got married ourselves & started our family. This is when my mum Gillian really picked up and started working with me. I’m not sure she knew what she was getting herself into 😂 but she’s been with me every step of the way ever since & I couldn’t have kept it all going without her.

I am so proud of the business we created. We are terrible sales people that’s for sure but we absolutely loved doing it and it’s probably why we lasted so long ❤️

What both mum and I will miss most without a doubt, is seeing the wonderful suppliers we have got to know so well over the years and feel like family to us. You all made doing this job so much better & I’m certain you all know exactly who you are 💕

Thank you to every single one of you who booked with us for your celebration. We honestly loved being part of them all & feel so honoured.

Thank you to our team who work with us. Knowing that you know exactly what needs to be done & like magic you make it all happen, is a true skill & one that we have appreciated so very much. Your friends for life & weekends will be tea/coffee and catchups from now on!

Thank you to my husband, my dad & my brother for everything you’ve done to help us, there is too much to even begin to list 😂

Finally, we want to wish all the luck in the world. We are so happy you are the one taking the business over & we will be right behind you on your journey, just like you have on ours. Plus I’m super excited to come along and help at some setup’s 😁

A gorgeous autumn wedding for our lovely couple at

Our second last wedding and what a beautiful colour scheme it was! We absolutely loved our brides vision for the day with autumn leaves, wooden touches, copper & of course pumpkins 🎃

A mix of wheat taffeta & a gorgeous two tone red/gold taffeta sashes decorated the chairs with our white chair covers.
Copper arch with silk garlands and autumnal flowers added, dressed the aisle.
The copper continued with our custom welcome sign & matching table plan.
Taffeta runners for the tables, with log slices, autumnal silk flowers, rustic tea lights & pumpkins.
Not one but two starlight backdrops for the top table, autumn leaf garland, bowls for the bouquets, tea lights & our starlight table skirt.
A crate display with glassware and tongs for a wonderful sweet table, along sign one of our crisp walls.
Our wooden postbox beside a second crate display, this time with a memory candle for loved ones & decor
Last but not least our white flower wall with our neon sign & a custom one from our bride and groom.

Congratulations again to our couple. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your day ❤️

Only a month late with sharing this beautiful wedding set up at 🙈. (Don’t worry I’ve got our final two weddings to share with you and then no more super late posts from me……..it’ll be Jill 😂).

We absolutely loved working on this Decor with our couple. The crisp white silk flowers looked gorgeous against the burgundy chiffon 😍 along with the clear acrylic centrepieces, tall stem tealights and a touch of burgundy at the base.

Our white flower wall was the perfect match to the centrepieces, teamed with our neon sign.
