With up to 100 acts in over 20 venues, we bring you the number one FREE music festival in the area. The music festival has been a well anticipated event for the past 15 years in the town, bringing an influx of people from near and far together with the power of music. Had it not been for Covid we would be celebrating its 17th

annual event. Although the event has changed names and companies over the years, the end goal has always been to provide a fantastic, free event for the local community. We hope you are all looking forward to Montrose Music Fest 2024 as much as we are!!!

💛 Meet Olivia 💛

This beautiful little girl should be spending her days playing, laughing, learning, and rocking out on her pink guitar.

Instead, at just 4 years old, Olivia is preparing to fight aggressive neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer that has spread to her spine.

In the months ahead, she will face intensive chemotherapy, hospital stays, surgeries, and challenges no child should ever have to endure. Through it all, Olivia continues to show incredible courage, strength, and a smile that lights up every room.

We’re asking the MOFest community to come together and support Olivia and her mum, Alex, as they face the toughest journey of their lives.

Every donation will help ease the financial pressure of treatment, travel, accommodation, and time away from work, allowing Alex to focus on what matters most — being there for Olivia.

What better way to keep the party going whatever the scores are this weekend, than seeing some cracking live music in Montrose ⚽🎶

There's still a few tickets left for the Warm Up Party at Northern vaults this Saturday, 13th June, with the Stone Preachers on from 11pm 🙌

Hillside Hotel are also having Liam Grieve on from 10pm on Saturday before the game 💙

The Neptune Bar will be hosting Backtrax from 8-11pm Saturday, and C-Red on Sunday 14th from 3-6pm. After that you can head right to The Market Arms to see Pepperpot who will be on till 9pm 😎🎸

Head to The Soothie Pub to party with Gordi from 10-11.30pm for their World Cup warm up party on Saturday night - tickets only £5!

🌟 Kicking off Mofest 2026 in style! 🌟

A huge shoutout to 7-year-old Frankie Ferguson, who took to the stage at Salty’s alongside his dad, Craig Ferguson as part of Remedy Acoustic.

Mofest is all about supporting and showcasing young performers and artists, and Frankie certainly did us proud with his confidence and talent. 🎶👏

We think we’re seeing the beginnings of a future superstar! ⭐

🌟 A huge thank you to another of our amazing MoFest High Street contributors, James Anderson and his fantastic team! 🌟

When James contacted us and kindly offered to provide fire safety support free of charge, we were incredibly grateful and, of course, accepted. What we didn’t expect was the incredible level of support that followed.

James and his team stayed with us throughout the entire day, helping to ensure traffic management was running smoothly, keeping an eye on the event, and even getting involved in a huge amount of litter picking.

Their hard work, dedication, and willingness to help wherever needed made a real difference to the success of MoFest. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to leave the High Street clean, tidy, and looking as though we’d never been there.

Community events like MoFest simply couldn’t happen without people like James and his team, who go above and beyond to support local organisations and bring people together.

If you’re organising a community event and need professional, reliable support, we couldn’t recommend James highly enough

KWAK are down in the Northern vaults where Bryan and the guys will be entertaining you all with guitar solo-driven blues, rock and everything in between. Fresh off the back of a cracking set last week, they decided they wanted to come back for more! ❤️🎸🎶🍻

Ewan Winter completes the weekend's lineup down at The Neptune Bar on Sunday where he'll be serenading you all with an eclectic selection of well known hits.

The Montrose Playhouse hosts their monthly open mic night on Wednesday 10th of June - YOUR chance to get up and show us all your talents. (Poets, storytellers, singers, musicians, comedians come on down)

This morning’s shout out goes to these incredible ladies who were absolutely non-stop on our merch stall on Saturday 👕

There’s a long list of stuff to get through but this morning’s first shout out has to go to Rock Choir Aberdeenshire • Choirs led by Rachael Watson & Rock Choir Scotland • Choirs led by Kevin Littlejohn 🎤

MoFest had its first ever flashmob! A hugely dedicated 160 singers travelled from across Scotland to be with us and what an absolute honour it was to have them!

Thank you for keeping it a secret. 🤫🤫 You guys smashed! 👊
