He is an amazing dad and husband. In October he underwent surgery to remove the lower right side of his jaw after he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the jaw. He is currently receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy after the devastating news that the cancer is no longer ‘curable’.

He has daily treatment at the wonderful Glan Clwyd hospital but the family are finding it tough going especially as dad and mum are not getting home to the 3 children until 7pm some nights. (Nan and Grandad have been amazing). The children are in school years 7, 6 and 3 and the youngest child is finding it very difficult to understand the big changes in his life.

This is not dads first diagnosis of cancer - back in 2005 he was just 24 and had to have part of his tongue removed along with radiotherapy to treat it. For a young lad it was tough going - his family and friends supported him through it and he was given the all clear.

Fast forward to lockdown this year- he began experiencing problems with pain in his jaw. He had a tooth removed and a biopsy taken at the end of August. 10 days later the biopsy results confirmed cancer of the jaw. 3 weeks later on October the 5th he had his 14hour surgery and further biopsies. Unfortunately, the results showed that the cancer had spread and was now deemed incurable. After 11days in ITU and 24 days in hospital he was finally discharged home to his family to continue treatment. Family and friends have continued to offer support especially seeing how tough the children are finding it all. They cannot thank everyone enough.
