I am just back from a wonderful weekend in Devon with friends. Amongst many other things we talked about the podcast and blog that I want to do about funerals...they agreed with me that it could be interesting. Today I was offered my first opportunity to deliver a service at the beautiful Brightwater Green Burial Meadow, so I came to see it in person. It's such a peaceful and lovely place in the Lincolnshire countryside.
I timed my visit beautifully as it began to rain so heavily on my way home, but I was able to wander around this tranquil spot in the gorgeous sunshine!

I know it's not the first time I've said it, but I absolutely have the best job in the world! I get to meet some of the most wonderful people and work with them during momentous moments in their lives.
Today's handfasting was just beautiful and not just because of the stunning setting of The Magical Moon Garden, although the spectacular surroundings certainly added to the occasion.
I feel so honoured to have worked with Laura and John to create a very personal and special ceremony. I have such a smile on my face!
