Good afternoon

Here is your Easter race info :

Race numbers can be collected from the Lakeside gazebo behind the car park of the Premier inn (MK7 8HP) please ensure your number is pinned to your front so it can be viewed for lap counting purposes. (if you are running both days you will retain your number from Friday for Saturday)

There is a large free car park.

Race registration will open at 7.50am, there will be a compulsory race brief at 8.20am followed by walk to the start line.

The half marathon course will be three laps of both North & South lakes at Caldecotte lake followed by an out & back section to give you your 13.1 miles.

The marathon course will be seven laps of both North & South lakes at Caldecotte lake followed by an out & back section to give you your 26.2 miles.

The 50km course will be eight laps of both North & South lakes at Caldecotte lake followed by an out & back section to give you your 50km

We will be running clockwise keeping the lake on your right hand side. The route will be marked on the ground with flour

There will be two portable toilets just 20 metres from the aid station / lap / point / finish line.

Bottled water will be provided on the aid station table for you & you can leave personal drinks / gets etc on this table. You will pass the aid station every 3.57 miles.

We don't offer a baggage store but many people choose to leave their bags in the aid Station area or their cars - the car park is 20 metres from the race route. In the event of rain a bin liner is a handy bit of kit.

The pub / restaurant has been closed since October but is due to reopen on Monday 14th April allowing for post race refreshments.

The park is an open park & there will be members of the public walking dogs, cycling & indeed other runners please be courteous to these people as you pass them.

Please do not litter on course, a bin will be provided roughly 100 metres after the aid station.

I was hoping my Friday update would wait until Friday but a rush of entries coupled with a bad back mean I need to update earlier than expected & I can't get out for a run or ride in the beautiful sunshine annoyingly so here goes !

We have just launched a new 5km as the football season comes towards a close, we'll be celebrating the footballing pioneers who were the original founding members of the football league.

Sunday 18th May - Caldecotte lake - 11am Kick Off !

We have had quite a few races fill up, The following are now full

April - Easter - All Events, All Distances
June - Monet - All Events, All Distances
July - Jaws 50th - All Events, All Distances
August - Live Aid 40th - All Events, All Distances

I'm gonna have a cup of tea & then get Show me the Money Sunday marathon. Live Aid Friday 5km & Sunday Marathons closed - you might squeeze in if you are quick for any of those final 3 events.

Places are limited & popular so don’t wait too long to get those entries in.

We do still have 2 x 5km season tickets if anyone wants to save money & receive early entry for our 5kms.

We have had a look at the numbers for our Live Aid event & decided to offer an additional 5 places for the 5km & the half marathon. This will reduce marathon places to compensate leaving the following availability

11th July - 5km - 5 places
12th July - Half Marathon- 2 places (*editted)
12th July - Marathon - 3 places
13th July - Marathon - 3 places

First come first served, these are the final places if you want to run with us in July ?

Amended race resullts from last nights Mystery Box 5km as either my spelling or typing is not up to scratch - must do better (as Mr Jones would say at Penkridge middle school) 😂

Wonderful to have the lighter nights & some sunshine.

We are hoping for a date for a 5km in May although Im away at the football today so won’t be looking at that until I get home tomorrow.

If anyone does have any spare pennies for my charity MACS they would be gratefully received - every little helps as a famous retailer once said (other retailers are available 😂)

Race numbers from outside the Italian Sul Lago restaurant from 6.40pm. Race brief & walk to the start at 6.55pm please don't be late as the clocks have changed but we'll be battling the daylight at little towards the 45 minute time limit.

The entrance to the car park is opposite Roni's hand car wash off Watling street - postcode for your Sat Navs is MK5 8AA.

The course is 2 & a bit laps & you'll be pleased the bit means the big hill 3 times !! LOL !!

We have 2 places left for sale if anyone wants a last minute spot - lovely night for it ;)

What’s up in Enigmaville ?

We have our mystery box 5km on Monday night at Furzton fron the car park next to the Italian Sul Lago restaurant - numbers from 6.30pm walk to the start at 6.55pm to get going at 7pm - we still have 4 places if anyone wants in ? Link below !

This week has seen the full signs go up for the following :

June - Show me the Monet - All Saturday events, we still have Sunday Marathon places

July - Jaws - all Races all days are now full

July - Live Aid - Saturday half now full, we have 2 Saturday Marathon places along with 5 places each for the Friday 5km & 7 places for Sundays marathon.
