Please find enclosed your “Football League Originals” pre race information -

Wear your shirts ? even those who support nerwbie teams like Liverpool, Newton Heath & Woolwich Arsenal 😉

Please collect your race numbers from the gazebo lakeside behind Hickory’s car park, (MK7 8HP)

Race registration will open at 7.55 am on each day & close at 8.20. A Toilet will be available in the foyer of the Premier Inn & we are hoping to have the toilet on the grass in front of the pub open fron 8am after speaking to staff member - fingers crossed.

At 8.20 there will be a compulsory race brief & we will walk to the start line for an 8.30am start.

Please ensure your number is displayed on your front so it’s visible for lap counting purposes, pins will be provided.

The route will be our clockwise route so 7 full laps for the marathon, 3 for the half marathon & 8 for the 50km followed by an out & back section to the finish. Each of the 3 turnaround points will be marked. The half turn point will be a white circle “0” on the ground, The Marathon turn point will be at the end of the grass section marked with a white “X” & the 50km a White Triangle.

The route will be marked on the ground with Flour at every junction.
Water will be provided in sealed 500 ml bottles on the water table for you to help yourself. If you wish to leave personal drinks here please feel free to do so, but please leave me half the table for the sealed bottles.

Bags can be left at your own risk in the aid station area but we can’t have bags in the race HQ gazebo itself as they become a trip hazard. In the event of rain (a bin liner is a great bit of kit). The car park is just a few yards off the course too.

Please ensure your number is worn on your front to ensure we tick you off for the correct number of laps.

We are guests of MK parks trust.

The park is an open park & there will be members of the public fishing, cycling, walking their dogs etc …. Please be courteous to them so we can all enjoy the park & please don’t litter, a bin will be provided at the aid station & another shortly after (100 Metres ?). Litter on the course has recently become an issue please don’t !!

It’s Coming home ?

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of England winning the 1966 World Cup we have a very limited edition World Cup event.

The medals feature a reproduction of the 1966 medal given out to the boys of 66 by Queen Elizabeth the second at Wembley.

There are 100 medals & 4 races.

Fri 3rd July 2026 - 5km
Sat 4th July 2026 - Marathon & Half Marathon
Sun 5th July 2026 - Marathon
