The Ruskin Library and Research Centre at Lancaster University is an iconic building housing the important Whitehouse Collection of writings, drawings, diaries and prints relating to John Ruskin and his circle. When my client CBS Workspace had completed a painstaking 'historic building' refurb they naturally wanted it recording along with the new exterior lighting. At this time of year that meant waiting until midnight for the right conditions to show it at its best - worth waiting for I hope you agree!

When Neil and Beverley asked me to take the photographs of their lovngly refurbished guest house I was naturally delighted. Their high standards and attention to detail in every area from food quality and presentation to furniture, fabrics and decoration meant that everywhere was a visual treat. Here are just a few of the picitures.
What has made me smile the most is the way the soft boiled eggs are served - attention to detail combined with a great sense of humour!

This is a 5 star Boutique Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Windermere and I've enjoyed creating images here since it opened back in 2009. I went along last week to photograph some refurbished bedrooms and just had an email "It was really good catching up with you last week. The photos are fantastic, thank you very much" - nice start to the week!

What a diifference!

I was recommended to Kim Robinson, the new owner of The Royal Hotel, by Adrian Walsh of Printing Plus. They felt that the photographs she'd had taken didn't really capture the ambience of the bar or do justice to the newly refurbished bedrooms - just my cup of tea!
Kim is such a great character, full of great ideas and bursting with creativity. She was a delight to work with.

So pleased to have been asked to take photographs for the lovely Becky and husband Ash who have the Hare & Hounds at Levens - i haven't been here for ages and what a transformation! A wonderful restaurant from a converted barn, great food, the best in Cumbrian ales, four beautifully refurbished en suite letting rooms and a warm welcome. I'll be back!
