Bittersweet Farewell to Grid VR 🎮

Hey VRy important people

Get ready for a tug at those virtual heartstrings, as today marks our last ever booking at Grid VR. 😢

But before we dive into the farewell feels, let's take a moment to appreciate the wild ride we've had over the last 4 years. From intense zombie battles to gravity-defying adventures, The Grid VR has been more than just a place – it's been a realm of endless possibilities and unforgettable memories.

To our amazing customers, friends, and family who have supported us through thick and thin, We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you all for being a part of the Grid VR family. We couldn't have done it without you, and whilst this chapter may be coming to an end, the memories we've created together will forever be etched in the digital realms.

So here's to you – the pixelated pioneers, the virtual adventurers, the Grid VR legends. Thank you for an incredible 4 years, and here's to whatever the future holds.

But hey, it's not all sad news! Starting next Monday, we're giving you the chance to take a piece of Grid VR home with you.

We'll be selling a variety of VR equipment, as well as some of the furniture and other bits and bobs that made the The Grid VR truly feel like home.

It is with a heavy heart that we write this announcement…but unfortunately theGridVR is closing.

Real Reality has gotten in the way of our Virtual Reality dream. We are next in a long line of businesses that can no longer afford to be open during these times of wild electricity prices (we use a fair bit of it!) and increasing costs.

That being said…we had a good run. What started as a hobby in a tiny single unit in an old mill turned into something special…employing 8 awesome people to help us deliver three VR experiences to hundreds of families/friends across the North West….we also got to open our own bar!

When we started we had never done anything like this, and it was so far from what our day jobs were…luckily we have the best family and friends around to help us every step of the way. We even dropped extremely lucky when we began to hire people…our original job description was “make sure everyone who comes here has a great time”…and everyone who came to work at theGridVR did just that, and every week we would get messages, emails and reviews all saying how amazing the staff were. It was the VR that brought people in, but it was the guys working here that made all the sessions and parties special.

We have a few parties booked in up until the middle of August, so we will stay open until 12th August…our booking system will still be open in case anyone fancies one last blast in VR before we power down for good.

Thankyou to everyone who has played a part in theGridVR…friends, family, staff and of course our customers…we’ve met some amazing people on this journey, made some lifelong friends and given us plenty of stories to tell.

So are we still loving this Sun ☀ & Heat 🌡

As is a rather special weekend (Milnrow Carnival 🎠 Fathers Day) we are CLOSED for normal booking 😭

BUT do not despair!!! We will be around on the 17th! We can't wait to watch the parade, Chat with some locals and of course hand out flyers :)
