We are excited to announce that this years Dia de Los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) event will be at Ffwrn Fishguard on Saturday 1st November. We’ll be teaming up with Marcela_mxcuisine for an evening of traditional Dance and folklore, a 3 course Mexican dinner and a full set from ourselves.
It’s going to be a really special night.

🏵💀The "day of the dead" ceremony is coming back to the FFWRN Fishguard for the second year.

💃Traditional Mexican Folclore dances and live music from the talented The Llewellin Duo , along with our very own singer Isabel Micher singing traditional Mexican songs for the special day.
🏵Don't let behind our OFRENDA for our beloved ones who passed away.

(An Ofrenda is an altar where we place the pictures of our relatives who have transcended.
We pay our respects and honour them by bringing their favourite meals and drinks to the altar.
On the 2nd November, they make their way to come down one more time to be with us)
💀🏵THE DAY OF THE DEAD SHOW is on Saturday the 1st of November 8pm.
🥘MEXICAN 3 COURSES DINNER provided by FFWRN will be served 6 - 8 pm.

Pictures look like there wasn't a storm with winds 50km/h, but oh my days, it was windy, it was stormy! 🌬⛈️.
It was stressful too, holding the stall and making tacos at the same time, taking orders and holding the stall.
Thanks to the good person 🙇‍♂️ (like an angel) who provided a thick chuncky rope and huge pegs to attach the stall to the field, 26k per leg was not enough. It would've been very difficult to trade without it.
So, yes, We survived! Actually, it was a very good day for the business.

We love the festival, and despite the weather we were there, wet, stressed cold but stoics.

I completely forgot to mention the all-important food and drink at this year’s Growing Wild Festival. Here’s what’s on offer:

The wonderful Rowan Tree Cafe at Dewslake is open every day this week, with live music on Wednesday and Thursday evenings to get us in the festival spirit. Please note that this means on Friday they’ll close until about 4pm while they get festival-ready, then open from 4–10pm. Over the weekend you’ll find them serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, pizzas, coffees and cocktails: Saturday 8.30am–10pm and Sunday 8.30am–2pm.

So you can still get a coffee and something tasty to eat Friday morning Romys Pembrokeshire will be here with coffee and crêpes, returning again on Saturday from 10am.

Then in addition on Saturday you can tuck into treats from Long Meadow Bakery (sweet and savoury bakes), Marcela_mxcuisine with delicious Mexican food, and, new this year, Karma Kitchen with Indian-style street food. Bitters & Twist will be running a bar in the field behind the barn, and Martin McGowen will be on site with an ice cream van.

You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink too. We recommend refillable water bottles, there are plenty of taps dotted around the site.
