We’re currently recruiting crew members to join our expanding team over the summer season.

South Downs Marquees is a boutique marquee hire company, specialising in creating stunning outdoor structures for weddings and events across Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, and surrounding areas.

The role requires hard-working, physically fit individuals who enjoy working outdoors. You’ll need to be versatile, flexible and, above all, reliable. Weekend availability may be required when needed.

We offer competitive rates of pay, depending on age and experience.

It’s a great opportunity to earn money while enjoying the outdoors and keeping fit.

Lovely to see these beautiful photos captured by from Saskia and Oscar’s wedding over the May bank holiday weekend. Featuring our 12m x 27m clearspan marquee with ivory pleated linings over the dining area and clear roofs above the dancefloor, enhanced by fairy lights throughout.

Our 14m x 26m sailcloth marquee looked right at home in the stunning grounds of Woodmancote Place this spring 🌿☀️

With its sweeping canopy, exposed wooden poles and soft natural light, this marquee is perfect for up to 150 seated guests, creating a beautiful balance of elegance and charm.

✨ Marquee Spotlight – 14m x 32m ✨

Here’s a look at a wedding we completed using our 14m x 32m sailcloth marquee, perfect for up to 200 seated guests.

This setup featured warm festoon lighting along the roof and perimeter, rustic trestle tables paired with cross back chairs, and our signature rectangular wooden bar framed beautifully by a trellis overhead, dressed with hanging Edison bulbs for a warm glow.

Pole-mounted spotlights added to the evening ambience, creating a stunning setting for a summer celebration.

One of our favourite clearspan marquees from a previous wedding season.

Two interlinked structures came together to create a stunning setting for this special celebration.

A 12m x 15m clear-roofed marquee, draped with fairy lights, set the scene for dancing and drinks. While a 12m x 21m dining marquee, with a 12m x 6m catering space, offered a beautiful space for the wedding breakfast. Both were built on a fully raised level floor, giving a seamless, elevated layout.

It’s our first wedding at the beautiful Bignor Park this year ✨

In the Quadrangle, our bespoke stretch tent canopy created a stunning space for 96 guests, complete with rustic trestle tables, cross-back chairs, and warm festoon lighting overhead.

We also installed a 9m x 12m clearspan marquee in The Greek Loggia to provide elegant cover for the outdoor ceremony.

We’re looking forward to working here again later in the season!
