Spotted a beautiful juvenile tawny owl 🦉✨
Still covered in soft downy feathers and mastering the art of flying, this little one was full of curiosity and character. Juvenile tawny owls often leave the nest before they can properly fly, so if you see one on the ground nearby, it’s usually best to leave it alone — the parents are often close by keeping watch.

On 17.04.2026, Spitfire G-TCHI returned following its round trip around the United Kingdom, now presented in the colours of the original prototype K5054.

Accompanied by BBMF DC-3 ZA947, the aircraft’s journey successfully raised over £100,000 in support of the Mark Long Trust and the RAF Benevolent Fund—an outstanding achievement for two highly deserving causes.

What a great morning airside! Huge thank you to the Airport team for an incredible experience with the Spitfire Mk.IX G-TCHI, beautifully finished in the colours of the original Spitfire K5054.

With clear skies and beautiful light, the weather couldn’t have been better — perfect conditions to appreciate (and capture) such an iconic aircraft at its best.

To mark the 90th anniversary of the very first Spitfire flight, Spitfires.com is setting off on a special circumnavigation of Great Britain 🇬🇧 — a fitting tribute to one of the most iconic aircraft in aviation history.

A real privilege to witness and capture a piece of living history.

This year, I wanted to do something a little different for my birthday. I opted for a day surrounded by nature and wildlife I couldn’t have made a better choice.

Located in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, the Hawk Conservancy Trust is a hidden gem that offers so much more than just birdwatching. It’s an immersive experience that blends breath taking flying displays and beautiful surroundings.

Aside from the shows, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the park. We strolled through peaceful nature trails, got up close to some of the birds in their aviaries, and even learned about the Trust’s vital conservation work.
