✨ FACE BEHIND THE BUSINESS… SO HERE WE GO! ✨
Well, where do I start? Grab a cuppa, because if talking was a sport, I'd win gold in every event! 😂🏅
🌸 32 YEARS AGO…
I left school to become a florist. After a few years, I soon realised that earning £3.19 an hour wasn't going to get me very far! 😂 So, I took a different path and joined Boots the Chemist in Customer Service, where the standards were incredibly high and a Customer Service qualification was a must.
That’s where I learnt something that has stayed with me throughout my career: understanding the customer is everything.
🏦 FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE WORLD OF FINANCE
That experience opened doors into finance and banking, where I worked my way through the industry, from Mortgage and Insurance Adviser to Business Development Manager for Birmingham with a mainstream bank, a role I held for 12 years.
I then took another step into the world of finance training, working with banks and financial institutions for a further 10 years.
And here's what I discovered… when you're organised, customer-focused and good at your job, you often get rewarded by doing everyone else's work too! 😀😆
So I thought, if I'm going to work all these hours, I might as well do it for myself!
💎 THE BIRTH OF PERFECT MOMENTS DECOR
And so, Perfect Moments Decor began.
Although my career had taken me in different directions, I'd never lost my love for floristry. I'd continued developing my skills throughout my life, and over the years, I created and developed my own stock and unique decor ranges.
What started as one wedding a month gradually grew to one a week, all while I was still working my day job.
Then I looked at my diary in 2022 and saw what 2023 was going to look like.
I thought, “Yes, that's it! Let's take the leap and give this business everything we've got!”
It was time to leave the day job behind and concentrate on helping and supporting more of our wonderful couples.
❤️ AND HERE WE ARE TODAY…
I now work full-time for myself, alongside a fantastic team who share my passion. We treat every wedding as if it were our own, putting our hearts into every detail to create those beautiful, unforgettable moments.
Do I work 24/7? Pretty much! 😂 Nothing new there, really.
But here's the difference… I absolutely LOVE what I do.
I go above and beyond to make your day as perfect as possible, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing everything come together and knowing we've helped create memories that will last a lifetime.
Would I change it? Honestly, no… although a little more sleep wouldn't go amiss! 😂😴
So, that's a little bit about the person behind Perfect Moments Decor. It's been a journey of hard work, learning, taking chances and following a passion that never really left me.
And if you've ever met me, you'll know that if talking was an Olympic sport, I'd be bringing home gold in every event! 🏅😂
