Although referencing his roses when he said this, for us, this mantra applies to everything we do and grow here. We have been florists for close to a decade now and have always prized British grown flowers for their ability to provide something special and unique. We haven’t always found it easy howev

er to find and source locally grown flowers, which is how we began our growing journey. We aim to provide our customers with quality produce in the quantity they require and we find that this is best achieved by working in harmony with mother nature and the seasons which is why we strive to follow sustainable and organic growing practices. Needless to say we are passionate about all things floral, but equally important to us is providing others with opportunities to discover a passion of their own.

S P R I N G

Today I ordered ALL the tulips and ranunculus for spring 2027… and I’m already ridiculously excited about it.

There’s something so lovely about planning for a season that feels a lifetime away, although it does highlight the fact that there really is no downtime in flower farming. While we’re right in the middle of our peak summer season, we’re also sowing, planting, ordering and planning for the seasons ahead.

And this year, I’ve gone big.

I’ve invested heavily in both tulips and ranunculus, so I hope you’re all ready for a very flowery spring 2027!

Florists I’ve tripled the amount of ranunculus I’m growing for wholesale, so if you have lots of May weddings coming up, there should be plenty of beautiful British-grown stems for you.

And for everyone else… our Tulip PYO is going to be something rather special. I’ve personally chosen every single variety to create a really beautiful mix of fancy, unusual and utterly gorgeous blooms. I cannot wait to see them all flowering together.

We’ll also have bulbs for sale this autumn, which I’m VERY excited about. I’ve picked some particularly special varieties that I know will look incredible in the garden come spring.

Spring is probably my favourite time of year at the farm, although I’ll be honest… the last few years have been a little challenging. Tulips can be notoriously hit and miss, and there’s always a bit of a nervous wait to see what actually makes it through the winter.

But this year I’m going with the attitude of go big or go home.

So, spring 2027… let’s do this.

And if it isn’t fabulous? Well, at least I know I’ve done my very best. 🌷

We’re so excited that the lovely STUD/O 2.0 | Artist | Interiors | Workshops | Parties is bringing her Flower Club back to the farm on 14th, 18th & 25th August. 🌸

If you’re joining us for either our Kids’ Pick Your Own or Regular Pick Your Own on one of these dates, don’t rush home once you’ve picked your flowers!

Laura will be set up in the barn with her beautiful paper flower shop, where you can choose your own paper blooms to colour and create a bouquet that’s completely unique to you.

The Flower Club is an optional extra, and you can simply pay Laura on the day, there’s no need to book in advance.

The perfect way to round off a lovely day at the flower farm. We can’t wait to see all of your colourful creations! ✨

I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself.

I’m Charlotte, founder of The Leicestershire Flower Farm. What started as a love of wedding floristry has grown into a flower farm full of seasonal British blooms, Pick Your Own experiences, workshops, and of course, plenty of weddings too.

Whether you’ve followed along for the flowers, the farming, or simply because you enjoy a little slice of countryside life, I’m so happy you’re here.

🌸 The summer holidays are here… and so are our Kids’ Pick Your Own sessions! 🌸

Looking for a morning that’s a little different? Come and let your little ones wander through the flower field, pick their own beautiful blooms and create a jam jar arrangement to take home. It’s the perfect way to get outside, slow down and make some lovely summer memories together. 🌼✨

Each child ticket includes:
🌸 A jam jar to fill with flowers
🧃 A juice box
🌿 A short introduction on how to pick the very best blooms
✨ All the materials needed
