Borders Book Festival At midsummer each year Harmony House and Gardens in Melrose blossom as marquees are raised, wine bar Founded in 2004, we're now heading into our 18th year.

The Borders Book Festival is based in Melrose in the Scottish Borders and takes place in mid-June each year. The next festival will be from 2-7 November 2021.

P6/7 really enjoyed hearing all about 'Iam Wolf' by Alastair Chisholm. We were al very pleased to receive our signed copies of the book and are looking forward to reading it.

Book Festival Schools Day 2026

Over 2,000 primary school children, teachers and helpers from across the Scottish Borders joined us today at the shiny brand new (and magnificent) Galashiels Academy for our annual school’s day.

The day was concluded by the wonderful Gill Arbuthnott (pictured) who introduced us to her latest book 'All in the Mind'.
