While our main investigation was cancelled due to damage at the building, we didnt want to waste a chance to get together anyway!
As we were planning on raising money for a mental health charity, the team found a well documented local story that didnt come with a reason why and likely linked to some kind of mental health concern.

So off we went to find 2 locations and to find out why!

🏮URGENT INFORMATION🏮
BOOKINGS FOR GAUMONT PALACE 4TH SEPTEMBER

Emails have been sent tonight

Good evening,

Thank you for your booking for Gaumont palace on the 4th of September (tomorrow)

Sadly, I have just recieved the following message from the Manager:

'Hi Karen,
I’m really sorry, but we have to cancel the investigation tomorrow night.
Part of the John Halle ceiling (main entrance) has fallen and we’re having to close that entrance due to water damage and another areas of the building. It all happened this morning and until contractors can come out and assess damage we can’t agree its safe for everyone.'

I have confirmed everyone is ok and thankfully was just a near miss for staff underneath it.

I want to ensure everyone is safe and, that is one of our biggest areas for investigation as well.
Rather than anyone missing out on active areas and keeping safety in mind, I would like to offer you a choice of alternative dates at this venue.

One of the dates we'd like to offer is our big Halloween night event on the 31st october that leads into day of the dead. We also have December the 4th this year that you are also welcome to choose.

If neither are suitable we will of course offer a full refund.

Myself and my team can only appologise for the inconvenience being such late notice. I feel, if we hadn't had such huge amounts of rain this last couple weeks, the roof and ceiling might still be in tact.

Please let me know what you would like to do with your current booking and I will confirm date changes or refunds with you as I get them through.

Take care and we hope to see you very soon!

Karen and the SN team x

About the Venue

The Gaumont Palace Cinema , opened in 1931, is one of the most remarkable historic cinema buildings in the UK. Its Grade I Listed Tudor Gothic façade dates back to the 15th century as the home of wool merchant John Halle. The interior preserves pre-Tudor features, including original oak beams, shields, and swords. The auditorium, seating 1,675, features stunning Tudor-style design and over 40 canvas murals by Frank Barnes. With both Grade I and II listed sections, the cinema is a treasure of history, art, and architecture—making it the perfect backdrop for a paranormal investigation. The Investigation Investigate the Gaumont Palace after it closes for the night, guided by our experienced paranormal team and the venue manager, who provides historical insight and helps verify evidence in real time.
