As trail-goers make their way around each location on the art trail, each piece of art carries a unique QR code for users to scan via the app, creating augmented reality imagery in the setting where they stand! Our free and family friendly app also tells of Bruce’s historical links with each location and features a fun ‘Quest For The Crown’ game suitable for all ages 👑🏰

Visitors can download the Bruce’s Web app and scan the QR codes at each site to experience the augmented reality elements at each piece.
Booklets with information about the trail will be available in local outlets by end of this week. 😊

And finally, we would like to say a massive thank you to North Carrick Community Benefit who covered almost all of the costs for Bruce Festival. Thanks also to CEiS who channelled Scottish Government funds to NCCBC to support the engagement of young people in the event. And lastly, thank you toMaybole Regenerationn and the local Health and Social Care Partnership for their contributions too.

There is no doubt that more was spent on the Bruce 750 event than is normal for local galas, but it was a great celebration of the 750th anniversary of the birth of Robert the Bruce at Turnberry, recognising North Carrick’s part in the story of one of Scotland’s greatest Kings.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers Andrew, Craig, Chloe and Natalie! Volunteers are such an important factor to be able to put events on so thank you guys for giving up your Saturday to help us make Bruce Festival a success!!

Also a big THANK YOU to the guys from John Jamieson Contractors and Merkland Farm Feeds for helping us do some of the heavy lifting before and after our event!

It was a privilege to work with so many amazing people and to see the community come together to support our event, especially those who gave us their spare time!
