🌻Engaged and searching for a countryside wedding venue in the Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire borders? 🌻

I always love visiting new wedding venues, and this one was a cracker! When this gorgeous couple wanted somewhere they could make their own and truly put their personal stamp on, was perfect.

From the STUNNING countryside backdrop to the indoor barn, the whole day felt relaxed, intimate, and beautifully them ❤️

Family came first, children loved the celebration and the atmosphere felt fun & loving. 💛

As a Wedding Celebrant, I was there to help the day flow smoothly & there was no pressure of official paperwork to get in the way of the fun. 🧡

Dolly Parton - Queen, icon, philanthropist, and genuinely kind soul.

So many of Dolly’s lyrics Centre around love and truth. I’ve always loved this song. If you’re of a similar age to me you’re probably recognise it as a sitcom theme as well! It occurred to me this morning that it would make the most beautiful wedding reading.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR WEDDING CEREMONY LESS STRESSFUL 🌻 // One of the main reasons couples are attracted to using a Wedding Celebrant - as well as the extra sparkle & personalisation they can add to your wedding day - is the fact that it is so much less stressful. 💛

Unlike when you marry with a registrar, you’re not only know your wedding Celebrant but they will know you - plus all your quirks and wedding stresses. They will work around them, and your celebrant will be there with encouragement and act as a calming presence on the day ❤️

There’ll be no surprises (unless you want them to be!) & definitely no stressful pre-wedding registrar interviews. 🧡

I attract THE best couples… but I still have to say, this gift genuinely floored me. 🥹🩷🧡💛

It’s a thank you letter and handmade hand fasting rope, woven with love, by a bride. It’s even got sunflowers on it! 🌻 It was just the sweetest most thoughtful gesture.

If you’re not familiar, hand fasting is such a sweet tradition where people tie (or bind) the couple’s hands as a symbol of unity, commitment, and intention. It’s one of those meaningful ceremony moments can really centre the couple, even in a room full of guests. It’s one of my favourite elements to include in a wedding ceremony. 💕

🧡💍Engaged and following Wedding Law Reform news? ME TOO!💍🧡

The reform in England & Wales of the current marriage legislation is VERY exciting.

BUT

The reality is it isn’t imminent even if everyone’s talking about it right now.

The current consultation process ends on 24 September, so please do share your views. In the meantime, currently engaged couples, my advice would definitely be just to continue to make plans as per the current legislation. A celebrant wedding alongside a 2+2 legal ceremony offers you the best of both worlds.

Tick off the legal marriage at the register office ✔️
Follow up with a friendly celebrant, wherever you want, to hold your ceremony 💕
