The beautiful Hannah has been a lover of our haircombes since we launched them… having adorned so many over the past couple of years in every colour you can imagine! so it is only fitting she got an extra special one for her wedding day on Saturday. 🥰😍🥰

I can’t believe that’s it! The doors of The Nectary at 20 Kilmarnock Road, Mauchline are now closed!

I’m a little emotional right now, so going to keep it brief otherwise I will be here all day, and well I don’t want to keep my glass(es) of champagne, wine and gin waiting!

THANK YOU for allowing me these amazing few years! Really... Thank you so much for supporting The Nectary, my approach to floristry and our eco-conscious ethos and for shopping local!

THANK YOU for all the kind words, comments, posts, messages, emails, cards and gifts since announcing our closing (and right through), it has been overwhelming to say the least! If you were trying to make me cry... you succeeded!

THANK YOU to all of my wonderful suppliers, growers, and artisans!

THANK YOU to The Nectary team who kept it all going!

And a final THANK YOU to my family and friends who have supported me throughout this entire journey... Especially my husband, my mum and my niece Mya!

But as you already know, it is NOT THE END, I still have a whole load of weddings and events for the rest of the year and I will be back with pop ups and special releases and maybe a little more in the future.

WOW… we have now sold out of signature styles until we close on sat! We do have a small handful of Ayrshire grown bunches available but that’s it for flowers! THANK YOU 🥰 what a way to finish!

We still have some gifts, prints, tea, plants, dried flowers, pots and vases available with MASSIVE REDUCTIONS and as of today all ex display vases are for sale including glass and Stemgem (made from plastic waste collected from the ocean).

It is with a very heavy heart that I sit here to write this post…

I remember sitting writing a post on the eve of launching The Nectary, nearly 2 years ago, talking about my excitement and trepidation and I honestly can’t believe how far I have come!

For me, building The Nectary has been an absolute dream come true, and seeing it going from strength to strength these past few years has been amazing and quite honestly, overwhelming at times! I actually still can’t believe how quickly it has grown (and quite frankly how much hard work goes into building a small business, especially during a global pandemic).

However, I have recently been offered an opportunity, which will be life-changing for myself and my family and so despite how well the business has grown, it’s potential for the future, and how much I love it, I just cannot pass this offer up right now. So, I have had to make a very difficult (and very tearful) decision to close The Nectary.

Our shop in Mauchline will close on Saturday 27th August 2022, although we will continue with our currently booked weddings and events for the remainder of the year!

So, this Wednesday 17th August, we will launch our final farewell signature style designs which will be available right through until our last day in the shop - the 27th August.

We will also be launching a closing down sale in store from Wednesday 17th August, with massive reductions on plants, dried flowers, pots, vases and our range of eco-conscious gifts.

BUT THIS IS NOT THE END!

I have no intention of totally letting go of The Nectary and seeing it drift on back into the periphery of my dreams again, so please keep an eye out for pop-up shops and specials during those big floral occasions!

And finally, I want to take the opportunity to truly thank each and every one of you, I cannot thank you all enough for the support that you have given to me and The Nectary. For all the likes, shares and comments, for the bunches you picked up as you were passing by, for the gift bouquets bought for those special moments, for allowing us to send your deepest sympathy and condolences, for trusting us to provide farewell flowers for your loved ones, and for letting us be part of those big celebrations and events!

From the bottom of my heart, my sincerest thank you!

Black Labrador pups come from gun dog parents. Mum is also our pet and dad is kc reg. very well socialise with our other dogs and children. Will be vaccinated and microchipped when ready to go. Also been wormed every 2 weeks.
