From Derby there is a train that runs hourly and only takes 30 minuets. There is a little walk up bank road hill however the knowledge a rewarding pint or cup of tea at the top will make it all better. Train times can be found here; http://www.thetrainline.com
Last train back to Derby is 22:55

If you are driving to us we are quiet easy to find and are on the corner of Smedley street East - next to bank road. We do have parking at the back of the pub.

Hi, I’m Sarah,
Firstly, a few things about me:
I’m happiest in a woodland or a festival field, preferably with a flask of tea and piece of homemade cake
Music, crafts and my caravan are my happy places
I’ve been married to my partner in craft, Don, for 16 years and we still quite like each other.
I’m mum to a magical ray of sunshine called Una and owner of an ever-loyal Cavapoo Ted.
I like things to be done right and i find inequality extremely difficult to tolerate....even if it’s a sharing plate.

As a Celebrant, I help people mark life’s biggest moments in meaningful, personal ways: from naming ceremonies, weddings and renewals to funerals and memorials, plus everything in between.
With a background in both hospitality and education, I craft experiences that reflect you — your love, your memories, your people.
When I’m not supporting individuals and families, I’m writing ceremonies, creating gifts and keepsakes, or running craft sessions in Matlock for teens and adults.
Whether you’re planning a big day or want to honour a loved one, I’m here as a calm, capable pair of hands, with a creative twist. If you’re planning something special (or helping someone else who is), give me a shout — I’m always happy to chat.

This is Pennie one of the guests at MortaliTea. She spoke very honestly about how she wouldn’t have coped without Grave Expectations and how they helped her throughout a very traumatic and distressing time. They still keep in touch. ❤️
It was very heartbreaking to hear about losing your life long loved one (58yrs) but also heartwarming to learn there is so much care and support out there. It’s very important to do your research as like any industry, it’s not always like that.

has certainly opened my eyes: what’s available and how to make such difficult times easier.

We are also designers and makers of quirky gifts. Made on-site in our Matlock based workshops from greeting cards to large clocks a specific style prevails: Unique & Rustic. All our handmade products can be personalized to create special keepsake gifts.
