Golden Hour 🌾

That fleeting hour before sunset, when our ten-acre meadow overlooking the Chiltern Hills is washed in warm, golden light.

It happens to fall at just the right point in the wedding day, too. It’s a pause between pudding and dancing, when couples can slip away for a few minutes and take it all in, while their photographer captures them in the evening light before the party begins.

Come and pay a visit to Monkton on our Open Day and see the venue dressed and ready for a wedding.

Wander through the converted barn, courtyard marquee, 10-acre meadow and woodland dell, and start to imagine how your own country wedding celebration could look here.

Enjoy a glass of fizz and canapés on arrival, with cocktails available to buy from the bar as you take your time exploring the grounds.

Last weekend, Julia’s friends and family gathered at Monkton to celebrate her 60th birthday, with ch*****ne, an abundant grazing table and plenty of time spent catching up in the courtyard in the warm glow of the fire pit. As the evening went on, Blue Lion Band had the dance floor full well into the night 💃🏼
