A little off-topic for The Hitch today, but something close to my heart ❤️

A friend of ours has just rescued a horse in Galicia who was in a really sad situation. He didn’t even have a name when she found him — now he’s called Bear 🐻

Bear is a huge Irish Sport Horse with the gentlest nature, but he’s currently lame, underweight and badly neglected. Despite this, his owner wouldn’t negotiate on price, and she simply couldn’t walk away knowing he might never get another chance.

This amazing woman already cares for other horses, has two small children, and still somehow finds the time and kindness to help animals who have no one else looking out for them.

So we’ve set up a GoFundMe to help with Bear’s rescue, transport, vet care and rehabilitation.

If anyone would like to help — even just €1 — it would mean the world and help give Bear the chance he deserves.

I’ll share the link below, along with updates as he begins his recovery.
