***THE WORST & THE BEST***
My Friday didn't go as planned; I was woken up to the notifications pinging on my phone from kind people letting me know my front door had been smashed in. It was pretty upsetting to get to the shop to find someone had broken in overnight, had a good look behind the counter and made off with the petty cash tin. Thankfully no plants were damaged.
There's a lot of admin that results from something like this and I'm lucky Mr windowsill helped get things moving. I had a visit from the Police forensics officer, so it was good to know this was being taken seriously.
And the best? I've been blown away by the kindness and support shown in person and on socials. From lovely hugs from Alison , coffee and security chat from my neighbours & , consolation snacks from and practical help from and wonderful Luke.
To the folks who patiently waited until I was able to open later in the afternoon and those understanding people who are coming back tomorrow and all of you expressing your support, those of you who popped in to check in with me - thank you.
Some days it's really hard running a tiny retail business by yourself. And some days you realise you're not by yourself at all.
Back OPEN tomorrow as usual, 10am-5pm.
