We are looking for someone who would like to join our lovely team of volunteers to help run our hall bookings. It’s an integral role to keep the hall running smoothly.

Our current bookings officer is amazing and is remaining an active committee member and trustee but as our hall has got busier is no longer able to sustain the bookings along with working full time.

You will have lots of help and support.

If you are interested please get in touch.

🎉 Exciting News for Ashley Memorial Hall! 🎉

We are delighted to announce that Ashley Memorial Hall is now officially registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)!

This is an important milestone for the Hall and our community. Becoming a CIO gives Ashley Memorial Hall its own legal identity, helping to strengthen the organisation and secure its future for generations to come.

What does this mean for the Hall?
- Greater protection for trustees through limited liability.
- A stronger governance structure and increased accountability.
- Enhanced opportunities to apply for grants and funding.
- Improved ability to manage and protect the Hall's assets.

What does this mean for our community?
- A more sustainable and resilient village hall.
- Better opportunities to attract investment for improvements and future projects.
- Continued support for local groups, events, activities, and community gatherings.
-Greater confidence that Ashley Memorial Hall will remain a valued community hub for years to come.

This achievement is the result of the months and months of hard work and dedication from our committee trustees and would like to thank everyone who has contributed to making this possible.

We look forward to building on this exciting new chapter and continuing to provide a welcoming space at the heart of our community.

***notice***

On 28th of June we are delighted to be acting as a water station for an organised bike ride event.

Just to note that there maybe cyclists pulling in and out of the hall between 9-11am on the day with consideration of an increased number of cyclists in the area.

Thanks

We would like to notify you that we will soon be removing the car port which is positioned directly outside the front entrance to the hall.

We will in due course notify our regular hirers and anyone else that has booked the hall once we have notice from the appointed builder.
We will arrange suitable accessibility to the hall during this time to minimise disruption.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the structure is unsafe and we are required to remove it as it’s beyond repair and we do not have sufficient funds to replace.

We appreciate this has been a long standing feature of the hall but the health and safety of our users and volunteers are our priority.

We appreciate your support and patience during this time and we will provide more accurate information on removal dates when we have it

Kind regards
The AMH Committee

****Urgently needed****

Our current treasurer, Deb has done an amazing job over the last 5 years keeping the hall finances ticking along but is sadly moving out of the area.

Deb will continue to support us in the interim but we are in desperate need for someone in our community to take on the role.

The lack of treasurer would mean closure of the hall as it’s a role that we cannot operate without. Non of the existing committee have the skills to absorb the role so we are looking to you, our community so support.
