How to identity a dead head verses an emerging flower on dahlias..

It can sometimes be tricky to tell which is which and no one wants to be cutting their flowers off!

The joy of a newly planted bed! With cooler weather and some rain at last we're able to start planting out for next year's flowers

It's a great time of year to get Biannuals and perennials in the ground to establish before winter

These feverfew are new varieties for us, always trying new things alongside our trusted staples

PYO continues until the first frosts so this season is very much still in flower

There's a beautiful calmness on the farm today, after the rain everything is softer. The birds are singing and the flowers are effervescent

See an intrepid cosmos self seeded in the Welcome Garden, growing up through the table. Finding a way

I love to let the garden be a bit wild, in comparison to the controlled nature of the cut flower rows. Seeing plants appear year after year from seed each time in a new place brings me great joy 🌿

Thank goodness it's raining, I can feel the ground sighing with relief

We've got by with our reservoir thus far but lay week out got too low to water from (we choose to leave enough water for the wildlife in there)

This is a most welcome change 💦💦
