Well equipped for all kinds of function and with a licensed bar The Phoenix Suite (our largest room) is a hidden gem in Nottinghamshire's collection of banqueting and conferencing venues. If you wish to use your own caterers or "do-it-yourself" our commercial kitchen is available for hire. Our dedicated team can tailor hire packages to your exact requirements and through our carefully chosen service partners, we can make your dreams come true whatever the theme or occasion. Our Registered Charity "Rainworth Village Hall Management Committee" (1092122) have re-launched the revived community venue with a new brand image and held our first wedding fayre to celebrate. Re-named "The Phoenix Suite" having survived a devastating fire in April 2004 and near closure in 2011 due to lack of support, the new Management Committee have breathed life into the original "Drill Hall" with support from a small team of local volunteers and regular hirers to rise from the ashes like the mythical bird from which it takes it's name. The beautiful Phoenix Ballroom has just been refurbished and the team continue to make further improvements to the facilities within the complex, developing a new and improved guest reception area, a picnic area and much more. Being a community venue run by a charity and volunteers with only a handful of paid employees, The Phoenix Suite strives to bring luxury and professionalism to your family celebrations without breaking the bank like some commercial venues might. Income from all our work is ploughed back into providing community events such as the Summer Fun Day and Bonfire Night Family Disco and soon our Under 18's Disco nights.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING THIS WEEKENDS INCIDENT ….

We want to take a moment to address a serious incident that took place over the weekend during a private wedding event at our venue.

An uninvited guest – brought along as a plus one without the couple’s knowledge or approval – unprovoked the individual then attempted to force entry into the building after hours, when our staff was cleaning down. This individual then proceeded to violently smash our front door, leaving our staff no choice but to go into lockdown due to serious concerns for their safety following threatening behaviour.

Thankfully, all staff were left physically unharmed – but this situation could have ended very differently. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we’ve had to deal with an issue like this, and it’s a powerful reminder of why it is vital to respect the wishes of the bride, groom, or event hosts when it comes to guest lists.

These boundaries are in place not to limit anyone’s fun, but to protect our team, your guests, and the overall experience. We don’t want to have to enforce strict or permanent new rules – the vast majority of our events are safe, respectful, and joyful – but repeated incidents like this push us closer to having no choice.

Our team gives up their evenings and weekends to deliver your events with 100% commitment, passion, and professionalism. They work incredibly hard behind the scenes and on the day to ensure your hire with us is smooth, stress-free, and full of great memories. They deserve to feel safe, respected, and supported in return.

Every detail was set with love—delicate butterflies, beautiful colours, and a hall that radiated warmth and beauty, just like she did. It was a space filled with love, memories, and the deep impact she left on those who knew her.
