WORD FOR TODAY

21st June 2026

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Reflection
Every sunrise is a reminder of God's faithfulness. As a new day begins, we are presented with another opportunity to experience His grace, walk in His purpose, and witness His goodness. Today's verse invites us to pause and recognise that this day is not an accident. It has been lovingly created by God and entrusted to us as a precious gift.

Too often, we rush into the day carrying yesterday's disappointments or tomorrow's worries. We become so focused on what might happen that we fail to appreciate the blessing of the present moment. Yet God calls us to live today. We cannot change the past, and we cannot fully control the future, but we can choose how we respond to the day that God has placed before us.

The Psalmist encourages us to rejoice, not because every day is easy, but because God is present in every day. Some days bring celebration, while others bring challenges. Some days are filled with answers, while others are marked by waiting. Yet God's character remains unchanged. His love, mercy, and faithfulness are as real on difficult days as they are on joyful ones. Because He remains constant, we always have a reason to rejoice.

When we begin the day with gratitude, our perspective changes. Instead of focusing on what is missing, we begin to recognise what God has already provided. We notice His blessings in the ordinary moments of life—a conversation with a friend, a prayer answered, a beautiful view, a kind word, or simply the gift of another day to serve Him. Gratitude opens our hearts to see God's hand at work all around us.

Each day also carries opportunities that will never come again. There are people we can encourage, acts of kindness we can offer, and moments with God that can deepen our faith. The Lord has prepared good works for us to walk in today. As we remain sensitive to His leading, He can use even the smallest moments to accomplish His purposes and bring glory to His name.

As you journey through this day, remember that it belongs to God. Whatever challenges or blessings it may hold, face them with confidence, knowing that the Lord who created this day will also provide the strength, wisdom, and grace needed to live it well. Rejoice in His goodness, trust in His faithfulness, and embrace the gift of today.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new day.
Thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning.
Help me to rejoice in Your goodness today.
Teach me not to dwell on yesterday or worry about tomorrow.
Fill my heart with gratitude for Your many blessings.
Open my eyes to see Your hand at work around me.
Guide my thoughts, words, and actions throughout this day.
Help me to be a blessing to those I meet.
Give me wisdom for every decision and strength for every challenge.
May I live this day in a way that honours You.
Thank You for Your faithful presence with me always.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

We occasionally get asked why tickets cost what they do, so here's a real-life example of what goes into putting on an event for around 450 people.

Typical costs might look something like this:

🎤 Artist Fee – £3,000
🏛 Venue Hire – £1,500
🔊 Sound & Lighting – £1,000
🛏 Accommodation & Travel – £500
🍽 Hospitality & Refreshments – £250
📢 Marketing & Advertising – £750
🛡 Insurance & Other Event Costs – £500

Total Event Cost: £7,500

Even before a ticket is sold there's fees to pay, artist and venue will need a deposit to secure the booking.

If 450 people attend, the break-even ticket price would need to be around £17 per person before any contingency is added.

Of course, every event is different, and costs can vary depending on the artist, venue, production requirements, and other factors. Our aim is always to keep ticket prices as affordable as possible while still providing high-quality events that encourage, inspire, and bring people together.

When you buy a ticket, you're not just paying to attend an event – you're helping make it possible.

Just a few days ago we launched our search for our first 25 Founding Salt & Light Ambassadors.

WORD FOR TODAY

20th June 2026

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”
— Nahum 1:7

Reflection
Life brings seasons that test our faith, challenge our strength, and leave us searching for stability. During such moments, it is comforting to know that God remains our refuge. Today's verse reminds us that the Lord is not only powerful and sovereign but also good. His goodness is constant, even when circumstances are difficult, and His care for His people never fails.

When trouble comes, our first reaction is often to focus on the size of the problem before us. We can become consumed by worry, fear, or uncertainty. Yet God invites us to shift our focus from the problem to His presence. A refuge is a place of safety, shelter, and protection. Just as a strong shelter protects us from a storm, God's presence provides security when life's difficulties threaten to overwhelm us.

One of the most encouraging truths in this verse is that God cares for those who trust in Him. He is not distant or uninterested in our struggles. He knows every burden we carry, every prayer we pray, and every tear we shed. Nothing escapes His attention. His love is personal, and His care extends into every detail of our lives.

Trusting God does not mean we will always understand what He is doing. There will be times when His plans seem hidden and His timing unclear. Yet trust grows when we remember His faithfulness. Looking back over our lives, we can often see how God sustained us through previous challenges. The God who was faithful then remains faithful now and will continue to be faithful in the future.

Today, whatever you may be facing, run to the Lord as your refuge. Rest in His goodness, trust in His care, and place your confidence in His promises. He is strong enough for every challenge, wise enough for every decision, and loving enough to walk beside you through every season of life.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being my refuge and my strength.
Thank You for Your goodness that never changes.
Help me to trust You when troubles arise.
Remind me that You are always near and always faithful.
When fear and worry try to overwhelm me,
help me to rest in Your presence and Your promises.
Thank You that You care about every detail of my life.
Guide me through every challenge I face today.
Strengthen my faith and deepen my trust in You.
May I find peace, comfort, and security in Your love.
Thank You for being my refuge in every season.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
