People often ask me what style of photography I shoot and I say it is best to look at my portfolio as it really is a broad spectrum, ultimately influenced by the character of your own individual wedding. I would say that my portraiture is heavily influenced by my life long love for the cinematic world. Always looking at the big picture that tells a story in conjunction with either dramatic or subtle lighting techniques. Also my work as a professional art director has helped to hone my creative eye to perfection. Never missing a precious moment or subtle detail as the day passes by. Anticipation, timing and positioning also play a big part. Always on the look out for an interesting location or angle to shoot from and knowing where to be at the right time and when to be ready for that crucial moment just before it happens. I work close but at the same time I blend into the crowd and then I will disappear into the distance and create images out of view. It is about total awareness, capturing everything and making people feel at ease. I work fast and like to make it a fun experience for both clients and their guests. Working under pressure never fazes me, any location, any weather situation, I actually enjoy the challenges which in turn drive me to create fantastic images under all circumstances.
