I'm Kyan, or K for short! I am a 20-year-old freelance creative based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, specialising in live music photography, videography, and content creation. Since I was 15, I’ve been capturing the energy and emotion of live music, from small local clubs to packed stadiums. I love telling stories through photography, focusing on moments which frequently go unnoticed, such as the exc
itement backstage or the unique personalities artists show on stage. Shooting and working in some of the UK’s biggest venues over the past five years has helped me develop a style that is vibrant, bold, and full of life. I’m drawn to rich colours, bright lens flares, and strong contrasts, all to recreate the dreamlike feeling of being at a show. My goal is to bring you into the artist’s world, so you don’t just see the concert; you feel it. In summer 2025, I completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Photography, acquiring hands-on experience in both digital and analogue photography, including film and darkroom techniques. It was through these two years in college part-time that I developed my passion and love for the music industry, travelling roughly 8 hours (in total) to and from Glasgow multiple times a week to gain as much experience as possible, whilst fitting my studies in between. Certainly wasn't easy, but I made it work! I also have experience in videography and editing short-form content for various clients, including creating short recap videos to document my secondary school's art studies and working on smaller projects on Fiverr and similar apps from around age 14. I have since been developing these skills and now offer short-form content for live shows.Neave Marr.
