M E E T O U R F O U N D E R 🤍
Hi everyone, I’m Em and I’m the founder and director of Fauve Events & Floral Design.
After several years working as a freelance event manager, I’ve finally taken the plunge to establish my own company and social media presence.
I thought I’d take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a few things about me …
• I named the business ‘Fauve’, (which translates to ‘painter’s daughter’). My Mum wanted to call me Fauve when I was born and my Dad was a self-taught painter who passed away when I was 11. The name seemed like a fitting tribute. 🥰
• I’m a trained florist. My Mum owns her own flower business . I learnt floristry from pretty much being in a pram and managed her shop in my early teens. Floristry remains a huge part of my wedding and corporate work to this day. 🌺
• I have 13 years hospitality experience, having managed and owned several of my own bars, restaurant and cafe. This is where I first began hosting and organising private events. I am lucky enough to have connected with a team of incredibly skilled chefs, cocktail mixologists, security staff, DJs and musicians along the way. Many of whom I continue to work with today. 🎵
• I’m currently studying a Masters in Law so in my spare time, you’ll find me with a legal textbook in hand (and maybe a glass of wine in the other) 😘
• Lastly, I have a degenerative spine condition which has finally forced me to take a step away from the physical jobs (no more shifting kegs of beer! 🍻) and take on the role of full time creative director and logistics manager!
As a self proclaimed perfectionist, I oversee every event from start to finish to ensure your visions are brought perfectly to life.
