In two short years, So Flute has gone from strength to strength. Since its inception, resident tastemakers Baloo, Bolts, Danuka and Yadava have put on monthly shows from up-and-comers like Werkha and Letherette; big-hitters Amir, Andres, and Alexander Nut; and even the Godfather himself, Gilles Peterson, who came to celebrate SF’s first birthday celebrations a year ago. Such diverse bookings keep the So Flute team standing out from the crowd. By assembling such a strong cast of boundary-pushing crate-diggers, brought in for their nous rather than their name, the shows retain a relaxed vibe that keeps fans coming back for more every month, rather than chasing numbers."

Cookout Selectors – Alexander Nut

A long-time friend of So Flute, Alexander Nut has been joining us behind the decks since almost the very beginning — soundtracking some of our most memorable dancefloor moments. This summer, he’s back with us once again — this time bringing the heat to the Cookout night session.

One of the UK’s most respected selectors, Alex has spent years shaping sounds across clubs and airwaves — from legendary sets at Plastic People to his influential run on Rinse FM, right through to his monthly show on NTS.

As co-founder of Eglo Records and a trusted ear behind releases from Fatima, Funkineven, D**o & Kaidi and countless other legendary artists, his sets span house, soul, hip hop, jazz, afrobeat and beyond.

We can’t wait to have him take the reins indoors and light up the dance once again.

Joining us at the Summer Cookout is Living Room Dance Club.

Known for digging deep into soul, rare groove, disco, and hip hop, she brings a rich, global selection that keeps the dancefloor moving and the vibes flowing.

From Manchester residencies to festival sets, Ailsa’s got that natural knack for blending the unexpected with the familiar.

We’re excited to have her bringing those grooves to the Carlton Club this June.

Cookout Selectors – Andrea Trout

Joining us at the Cookout is someone who’s been keeping dancers moving (and listeners locked in) for years.

Andrea Trout brings a deep and soulful record bag — connecting the dots between reggae, funk, soul and worldwide flavours.

A staple member of the Eve’s Drop Collective, Andrea regularly runs tunes at some of our favourite UK and International events including Cross The Tracks and We Out Here.

We’re buzzing to have her in the garden with us in just under a month.

An absolute CLASSIC 🪩

What a night, guys… seriously. That one was a real throwback and without doubt the best party we’ve enjoyed at the wonderful 🏠

Too many thank you’s, but here goes:

To all of you who came to dance and bought your vibes, we are super grateful. Especially to all of you who came down from doors open and stayed till lights up. We love ya!

To everyone at The Carlton Club. An absolute dream team to work with and we can’t wait to see you again in summer . We’re honored to call your gaff our home.

To our AMAZING guest who bought nothing but heat for a beautiful two hour set.

To our amazing residents and who also killed it, with perfectly selected warm up and closing sets.

To .dj who is quickly becoming one of Manchester’s stand out DJs at such a young age. And who is also responsible for promoting the event (and shooting it! 📸). A man of many talents. Also shouts to for being part of getting things set up.
