‘If you could save one object, what would it be?’

Huge crowds gathered at Salford Civic Centre for Swinton Ark, a show-stopping installation that brought the centre’s 70m facade to life with art inspired by the local community.

Created by Illuminos, the magical 12-metre show combined stunning 3D animation and a custom soundtrack to tell the personal stories of Swinton locals, gathered by artist Lowri Evans.

We were delighted to work on the project, commissioned by Salford City Council, leading the way in creative, community engagement.

Special shout-out to the incredible media support which helped amplify the wonderful news - Manchester Evening News, Manchester's Finest, Manchester Wire, The Manc, BBC Radio Manchester, and more.

‘I wanted to play hearing roles, scripts that didn’t necessarily have a deaf storyline, characters that fall in love, have an amazing s*x life, or gun down loads of people, hold up a bank or whatever.’

The final episode of the Shaping Tomorrow video podcast is brilliant and we can't wait for everyone to see it tonight.

The phenomenally talented Sophie Stone and Maxine Peake in conversation about breaking stereotypes on and off screen - tune in at 7pm!

The Sundae summer round-up is here ☀️

Ok, yes, it’s October, but it was an event-full summer and it took us a minute to take stock.

Since we launched in 2011, we have created, developed and promoted hundreds of festivals and events of all sizes, but this year we put a focus on local. Why? It’s become more and more apparent that festival line-ups are impacted by availability of talent, and new talent needs opportunity to grow.

We added some incredible grassroots and hyperlocal events to our roster of national and international events, to ensure that instead of simply talking about the gaps in diversity, we contribute to the development of the industry from the ground up.
