I once told a group of people, that 95% of a successful relationship comes down to selection.

Almost immediately, I could see people nodding.... smiling, thinking internally 'Don't I know it'"

Choose the right partner.
Choose better friends.
Choose the right people to work with.

Makes sense, doesn't it?

Except that wasn't the selection I was talking about.

I asked them:

“Which version of YOU did you select to bring into the room today?”

Because we don't arrive in relationships as one fixed version of ourselves.

We bring our emotional state, our beliefs, our expectations, our previous experiences and sometimes the baggage from something that happened five years ago… or five minutes ago.

The person who walks through the door exhausted and defensive can experience a completely different conversation from the same person arriving curious, calm and open.

That's why self-awareness matters.

Before asking “What are they bringing to this relationship?”, occasionally ask:

“Who am I bringing?”

The impatient parent or the present one?

The colleague looking for problems or the one looking for solutions?

The partner waiting to be disappointed or the one willing to communicate?

You can't select the version of somebody else who turns up.

But you have far more influence over the version of you that takes a seat at the table.

And that little shift can change an entire conversation... an entire day... week or even life..

Something to think about today... who are you selecting?

A good day isn't something you just get handed.

Sometimes you've got to create it.

Change the energy. Put the music on. Take the long way home. Make the call. Say yes to something. Get outside. Laugh at something ridiculous. Stop waiting for everything around you to be perfect before you allow yourself to feel good.

You might not get to choose everything that happens today…

But you do get a say in the energy you bring to it. 🔥

So don't just have a great day.

Go make one.... 🧡

Today’s exciting job… sorting and cleaning nearly TWO TONNES of genuine LEGO and DUPLO bricks

I’ve spent pretty much the whole afternoon on it and have managed to get through…

HALF. A. PALLET. 😅

At this rate, see you sometime in 2027.

Every brick gets checked, sorted and cleaned ready to head back out to festivals, family events and activations... the very unglamorous side of creating the fun stuff nobody sees!

Nearly two tonnes though?!
Even I didn’t realise quite how much we’d collected.

And the worst bit?

I’ll still see more for sale and think… “Oooh, that could be useful.” 🤦‍♀️😂

Monday thought...

I think we spend far too much time measuring our lives against what they're supposed to look like.

Success looks different to everyone.

Mine currently involves big dreams, a slightly ridiculous amount of driving, walking people across fire, an 18-tonne pink truck, family, new adventures and probably far more chaos than most people would voluntarily choose....

Is it perfect? Absolutely not.

Does it feel like mine? Completely.

Build a life that gives you energy. Fill it with people you love. Do more of what makes you feel alive.

And don't wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to be happy. ❤️‍🔥

Monday morning energy...❤️‍🔥

You can want more, work for more and be ridiculously excited about what's coming… while still being grateful for everything that's happening right now.

This summer has been fast, chaotic, exhausting and absolutely brilliant. 😂

Thousands of miles, festivals, firewalks, new ideas, new opportunities… and views like this somewhere along the way.

I'm definitely not slowing down.

I'm just remembering to look around while I'm speeding towards the next dream. 😂☀️

Grateful for what's been. Blessed with what's here. VERY excited about what's coming.

Happy Monday ❤️

What a couple of weeks…

Last week I passed my HGV reversing manoeuvre... and the very next day I set off for a meeting that I was looking forward to.

But as I got closer to Middleton, my stomach suddenly flipped, and it started to feel different.

I realised I hadn't been back to Middleton Shopping Centre since Grandma passed away.

Middleton wasn't just somewhere we occasionally went shopping. It was our thing. We'd park up, spend hours wandering around, have some lunch and eventually head home. Grandma even had a special shopping trolley she'd treated herself to especially for our trips.

I loved those days then and I treasure them even more now.

So driving there without her felt really strange. For a moment, I just wished with everything that she could have been coming with me.

I walked in and floods of memories filled my eyes... I nipped in Home bargains and bought another little dog for the mini golf..

Then I had the meeting…

And walked out with a huge smile on my face..

Because we're going to be creating something very exciting at Middleton Shopping Centre. 👀✨

A place that holds so many happy memories for me is now going to become the place where we create new experiences and memories for other families.

And somehow that feels incredibly special.

Then this week I passed my HGV Module 4 too! 🎉 So now I'm all ready for my practical driving in October and getting VERY close to finally driving that big pink truck. 🩷🚛

Life has a funny way of joining the dots sometimes.

Two brilliant weeks, lots happening behind the scenes and SO much to look forward to.

And I can't help thinking Grandma would be very excited to see what we're about to do with her favourite shopping place.

Middleton… we're coming. And I've got ideas. Lots of them. ✨

⛳ HOLE 18… where everything can change. 😂

You've made it around the course. You've counted every shot. You're quietly convinced you've won...

Then you reach our Hole 18.....

Where that final ball lands could give you -5… or add +3 to your score.

Suddenly Dad's demanding a recount and the person who was losing is celebrating....

It's little details like this that make our course so much fun.

We've designed, curated and built our mini golf course in-house, creating holes that aren't just something to putt through or seen before, but experiences with personality, surprises and plenty of opportunities for a bit of friendly competition.

From our giant feature props to the smallest details, we've thought about how each hole looks, plays and makes people feel.

And because we build ourselves, we can also create bespoke holes and styling around your event, festival or brand.

Our 9 and 18-hole courses are now available to hire across the UK for:

⛳ Festivals
⛳ Corporate events
⛳ Family fun days
⛳ Shopping centres
⛳ Weddings & celebrations
⛳ Brand activations

Want a mini golf course people actually remember?

July... what a month....and we still have so much in the diary to fulfill yet for 2026! ❤️‍🔥

I'm pretty sure I won't catch up until 2027/28! 😂

Long days. Late nights. Festivals every weekend. Very little sleep... and I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Back in June, even though every event was organised, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. Running your own business can feel lonely sometimes, and there's always that little voice asking, "Will it all come together?"

A few days into August, I'm sat here feeling nothing but grateful.

Not because I think I've "made it" ...far from it. I still have huge dreams, massive goals and a long road ahead.

But this month reminded me how lucky I am.

Lucky to spend days with Harrison, Mum, Dad and my Auntie Ann, Graham and my fire family. Trips to Tatton Park, Chester Zoo and Fleetwood. Painting props with Dad (and yes... covering his workshop in paint! 🙈). Watching families laugh over a game of mini golf and seeing so many incredible people walk across fire.

Then my best friend in Tenerife welcomed the most beautiful little baby boy into the world, which somehow made an already wonderful month even more special. ❤️

"Gratitude is the great multiplier." The more grateful you become for what you already have, the more life seems to place in your path.

So before August races away too, I just want to say thank you.

To my family, who support every crazy idea.

To the team, who work unbelievably hard behind the scenes at each event.

To every client, charity, festival and venue that has trusted us.

And to every single person who follows, likes, comments, shares, walks across the fire, plays our mini golf or simply comes along for the ride...

Thank you for being part of this journey.

We're only just getting started. ❤️🔥

Can you believe it's already been just over a week since Together Again?

We've been looking back through all the photos and what an amazing weekend it was. Thank you to everyone who came to play our mini golf, stopped for a chat and made us feel so welcome. We also met some fantastic traders and some genuinely lovely people along the way.

We do have one little favour to ask...

On the first evening of the festival, one of our much-loved props, Bambi, disappeared from our mini golf course. We're adding a photo to this album in the hope that someone might have seen where they ended up.

If you happened to spot Bambi, accidentally took them home, or know where they are, please send us a message. There's a reward for Bambi's safe return 🔥✨️, and we'll happily pay the courier costs if needed. No questions asked... we'd just love to have our little friend back.

Please keep an eye out as you look through your photos too... you never know, Bambi might just have photobombed one of them! 🦌

Thank you again for an unforgettable weekend. We hope to see you all again very soon. 💚

🌊❤️‍🔥 Is anyone else scrolling through their Rock Oyster photos wishing they could go back?

What a weekend that was.

The sunshine, the music, the laughter, the families, the new friendships... and thousands of memories made along the way. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of such an incredible festival.

From families taking on our mini golf course to everyone who stopped for a chat, smiled, laughed and joined in, thank you. You made the weekend every bit as special as the beautiful Cornish setting.

There's something magical about festivals. For a few days, nothing else seems to matter. People slow down, connect, laugh with strangers and make memories they'll be talking about for years.

We're already looking back through our photos with huge smiles on our faces... and if we're honest, we'd happily do it all again this weekend!

If you spotted yourself, tag your friends, share your favourite photos and tell us your favourite Rock Oyster memory in the comments.

Until next time, Rock Oyster... thank you for having us. 💙

And a huge thank you to Elaine, Colin and Shirley McLean for all of your help... you were all amazing and I am so grateful ⛳️❤️‍🔥
