We’re celebrating 10 years of Food Sorcery! 🎉👨‍🍳

It’s hard to believe the bare shell became the cookery school we know today. Then came our first event—the kitchen was brand new, we were learning as we went, and it was brilliant to finally see guests cooking, chatting and enjoying the space.

Ten years on, there have been a few paint jobs, plenty of changes to the kit and lots and lots of cooking. Chefs have come and gone, while Jan has been with us from the very start and is still delivering brilliant classes with his amazing ability to bring flavours together.

We now have more than 100 different classes, from baking and barista skills to cuisines from around the world—but Food Sorcery is still all about relaxed cooking, sharing good food and having plenty of foodie fun.

A huge thank you to every guest who has joined us along the way. ❤️

Our Cooking Together Japanese experience is a relaxed evening of cooking, eating and learning together. 🇯🇵🍜

You’ll cook as a pair with guidance from our chef, starting with a demonstration before making dishes such as Yakitori with Japanese Slaw and Pork Gyoza in Miso Broth. Between cooking, you’ll sit down and enjoy each course together, with dessert prepared by chef to finish the evening.

Each ticket is for two people, so you can come with a partner, friend or family member and enjoy the whole experience together. 👨‍🍳

Our Curries of India class is a hands-on session covering some of the techniques behind a few classic dishes. 🌶️

You’ll make Chicken Biryani, Black Dhal and Prawn Balti, learning how to balance spices, build flavour and create sauces from scratch. Chef will also demonstrate chapati and green chutney to serve alongside your dishes. 🍛

This is an individually booked class, with one ticket per person, and it’s suitable for all abilities. 👨‍🍳

The next class takes place on Saturday 26 September.
