💬 A new report commissioned by the Royal College of Music reveals that music is rated as ‘key’ by business leaders for developing vital workplace skills.
At Chetham’s School of Music, we know how impactful music can be. While many of our passionate young musicians go on to appear on prestigious stages and study at top conservatoires around the world, we’ve also seen alumni become doctors, engineers, scientists, nurses, politicians, teachers and so much more.
Studying music helps young people develop crucial transferrable skills such as teamwork, discipline, and adaptability, as well as being an important creative outlet through which to express yourself – these are needed in any career.
While A-Level music entries are at their lowest ever in the UK, we hope this important research encourages more young people to give music a go!
We are proud to be the country’s leading music school and witness first-hand the benefits a quality musical education can bring ❤️
