Artemisia is the last surviving priestess of the Great Mother Goddess. Her order all but ended centuries ago. Legend has it that a third of her peers were burned at the stake as witches, a third escaped to the Otherworld and closed the portals behind them, and a third died heartbroken and lost when their Goddess failed to return. Artemisia remains, and she embodies all the magick of yin, shakti, and anima; all the divine, nurturing love and the dark, earthshaking rage of the sacred feminine. She alone protects the mysteries of the Great Mother, she alone remembers the hymns we sang with the forests and the sea. Combining elements of metal, folk, baroque, and prog, Artemisia are a powerhouse of melody and drama. Artemisia is for all those who howl at the moon, who can hear what the woods are dreaming, who remember who the Earth was before she was paved over
