QED is right around the corner! One of the best things about attending QED is the social side – from chatting and hanging out in the bar and social spaces, to sharing thoughts digitally with during sessions. With that in mind, we have a few ways to help make socialising a little easier!

📱We’ve partnered with our good friends at Skeptics in the Pub Online, who have created a number of QED spaces in their active Discord server.

👥New to QED? Our attendees are very friendly, and will usually do their best to make you feel welcome. But if you need a helping hand a few of the Skeptics in the Pub Online team will be on hand as buddies! They’ll be wearing purple lanyards when they’re available for some social support.

🤝While we hope the Mixer is welcoming and comfortable for all, we know it can be a bit daunting to come along. This year we have a pre-mixer meetup with our buddies at 6pm in the Quiet Room. Come to the 4th floor to meet buddies, say hi to other attendees and make your way down to the Mixer together!

🤫And if it all gets a bit much? Over the course of the weekend, we have a quiet room so you can take a breather if you need to decompress. For the Friday Night Mixer, we’ll have the room open from 7pm until 9pm, if you need a break to reset and you're feeling a bit overwhelmed.
