Manchester Day is back! This year it is on Sunday 26th July! The sandpit at Great Northern will be a Spanish themed takeover. Between 12-4pm.
All ages are welcome!

We have facilities onsite to help families with very young children who are in the city. Including a changing station, picnic area and we’re always stocked on supplies including sun cream and nappies! 🌞

… Unfortunately the bee is very busy supporting at number 10 this year, so won’t be making an appearance …🐝 🚪

On Saturday my Mum passed away peacefully with my devoted father by her side 🖤
I promised my mum I’d use any opportunity I have to educate people on her story.
My mum died of cancer, but it was actually Osteoporosis that robbed her of her life and left her in chronic pain for many years.
It’s hard to say , but In the end her spine was crumbling and the cancer was a blessing.
So Ladies…. Educate yourself on Oestrogen Deficiency, don’t let the doctor stop your HRT in your 60’s you are deficient for LIFE not just the menopause!
Share your reproductive health with your children and female members of your family, my mum had an early menopause, with that knowledge I have been able to make changes so that her future isn’t my future.
I’m no doctor, or guru or expert, just the daughter of a mother who deserved better. Take responsibility for your future health, educate yourself and use your knowledge as power. RIP Carole you absolute warrior🫶 Haylea Osborne Matthew Osborne

Wow it’s glorious out there!!

Need somewhere for the little ones to enjoy the sunshine or keep in the shade?

Our sandpit is open daily from 8am–8pm giving little ones plenty of space to dig, play and explore.

✨ A few things to know before you visit:
• The main sandpit is raked and cleaned twice a day by the amazing support team.
• We encourage families to bring their own shade, sand toys, towels and puddle suits, we are trailing adding some new resources this week but have had issues with broken toys in the past which can become sharp! Please report any concerns 🙏
• Feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy it indoors or outdoors. We’ve got an indoor picnic station next to our indoor play space.
•We also have an indoor changing mat stocked up with sun cream, water and nappy’s for your little ones!
•We have added a brand new sound wall & mud kitchen along with our sand toys! Children are welcome to collect and pick leaves and flowers from the gardens to make their own potions!
• If you’re able to, we’d love you to support our fantastic neighbouring businesses while you’re here even if it’s just grabbing a coffee ☕️❤️

It’s a takes a village…… I’ve used this phrase lots before, in recent weeks I’ve been spending less time Northerners as I’ve been saying a long goodbye to my mum and very recently one of our Foster Babies.
I wanted to acknowledge that the space is looking a little tired.
I’ve also not been able to commit to the fantastic celebrations that are happening across the city this week. This event is usually a staple in our calendar and I’ve put the link in bio so you can all see what’s on offer for Free across the city.
I’d like to say a massive 🙏 to Kelly who visits the space twice weekly to ensure it is safe and clean for your little ones.
And of course Great Northern Warehouse for your support and patience.
The annual Proudfest event will 💯 be going ahead this year.
A final 🙏 to Lily Through a Lens for taking over my socials for the next few weeks to make sure you get your head about all the fabulous things that we have going on.
So my “Village” has truly stepped up.

Today I feel grateful 🙏 we’re here again with one of our foster babies. Yet again I’ve been blown away by just how lucky we are to have such an amazing hospital on our doorstep RMCH even though Tallulah has had her own health struggles we’ve not had a single nights stay in hospital. The bravery and tenacity of the children and parents on the wards is just incredible, it bought a tear to my eye.

Tallulah Bo Osborne turns 13 this week 🎂I’m dedicating my socials to her today, arriving 4 weeks early and less than a 4 hour labour she arrived with a bang 💥 she hasn’t stopped rocking our world since ! My inspiration to quit my 50hr a week job, take the risk to become self employed so I could share my time with her in my terms 💪 My drive to make things work.
No Tallulah, No .
So 🙏little lady for changing my life in every possible way. You are a true inspiration and make us proud everyday. Happy Birthday 🎈 🎂💗
