IT'S MY BDAY!! haha i normally don't share these things, but i felt like it today

1st cause im quite happy today

2nd cause i wanted to share a couple bits and bops from. the year and some pics of me at peak happiness

3rd cause ive brought u my new years resolution... yea that one none of you asked for:

I'VE DELETED MY GRINDR ACCOUNT AND GONNA DETOX FROM IT FOREVER HOPEFULLY

now some of you might say what a fu***ng joke of a resolution and to that i say:

for the last 3 years my life has been a constant fight with myself. so many of you say i look very confident in myself and that i come across as very happy. truth is i go through very serious episodes of self-loathing and have some deeply ingrained hate towards the way my body looks - these episodes happen when I'm on my own and specially when I've used grindr in the past.

I've been single p. much all my life and grindr was my weekly/daily escape to this loneliness. in there ive been blocked by people DAILY with no explanations, simply after sending pictures of myself or saying im not slim or toned.

ive had people looking at my face and saying: "too fat, sorry" and blocking me

ive been asked to do things only with my tshirt on

ive been used, told they did enjoy whatever we did loads and then blocked, once again, 2 minutes after leaving their house.

and i could go on, but it genuinely hurts.

with all this im literally NOT LOOKING FOR COMPASSION (my close friends help me with this every time. i break, thank u, ily)
with this im looking to open up about the horrible horrible world online dating can become. it's toxic masculinity at its worst and it's addictive in a very hurting way.

SO this year im choosing self love and hoping for ms. h***y not to knock on my phone screen any of these nights dragging me into her realms of lust and disgust.

if any of you, grindr users, feel you can relate and wanna talk about it, 100% give me. a shout. im loaded with words of love for you that i should be telling myself more often.

fatphobia is fu***ng hard, specially when after so many years, the hate you received in school, becomes your own.

staying on the 160s i really really enjoyed recording this mix on a rainy day drinking green tea, hours before w a mild hungover
