Last week I delivered my first funeral ceremony. It was an absolute privilege to write and speak about a wonderful life lived well.
He was, quite simply, one of a kind. A man who had lived with an extraordinary appetite for life, for people, for adventure, for good food and even better company. A man who filled every room he walked into. ✨
The sun was streaming through the windows of the beautiful Huddersfield Crematorium, and the room was full of people who had loved him completely.
There was real, joyful laughter thanks to some very colourful memories shared. And of course there were tears. Through it all, love was the biggest presence. 🌷
I felt calm. Focused. Honoured beyond words.
And I was so beautifully supported. The funeral directors, Deborah Ingham Funeral Service, and the team at the gorgeous Huddersfield Crematorium were warm, welcoming and wonderful from start to finish. On a day like this, that matters more than I can say. 🙏
To stand beside a family on one of the hardest days of their lives, to hold the space for their grief and their joy, to say the words that needed to be said. I understand now, more than ever, why I was called to do this work.
This was a big one. A milestone I will carry with me always. And the beginning of something I know, in my heart, I was meant to do. 💛

After DIY-ing everything myself, I knew it was time to bring in an expert. Enter the brilliant Andrea from
She took the time to really understand me, my values, and what makes my ceremonies special. She gently (and wisely!) encouraged me to let go of my old branding and trust her creative vision.
And I'm so glad I did - now I have a website and brand that finally feels authentically me - warm, heartfelt, and professional in a way I couldn't achieve on my own.
Andrea built trust, listened deeply, and made the whole process feel collaborative rather than overwhelming. If you need a designer who combines creativity with genuine care - I can't recommend her enough! 💙

I love my job!

Two weeks ago I had the absolute joy of conducting a civil partnership ceremony with the loveliest couple and their gorgeous friends and family. 🎉

A civil partnership is a legal union that gives couples the same rights and responsibilities as a marriage, but without some of the traditional formalities.
For some, it just simply feels like the right fit.

This was one of those gorgeous days where families and cultures came together with a little bit of Punjabi spirit and spice woven throughout.

These are the moments I love most, celebrating not just a couple, but the story, community and connection that brought them to this day.❤️
