Today, our Piano Showroom was the final shooting location for ‘Square One’, a film by A (SIM)ULATION PICTURES, made up of students at Manchester Film School (part of UCEN Manchester).

In these scenes, Cal, a gifted pianist who has become disillusioned by technical perfectionism, enters a music shop and sees a young boy playing with such joy that he is reminded of why he started in the first place.

For many musicians, it’ll be a relatable story! Watch this space for updates on its release…

We're thrilled to have an example of the legendary Selmer Mark VI in store. This well-loved saxophone dates from around 1965 and plays beautifully.

The pads, corks and felts have been checked over and are in great condition. Please not that this is a second hand instrument and shows significant signs of wear.

We could keep talking about the wonders of this sax but, truthfully, the only way you'll know if it's right for you is by popping in to our store to give it a try!

We delighted to have two second hand trumpets in at the moment!

On the right is a Second Hand Eclipse Bb Trumpet. Eclipse trumpets are made in the UK, and this beautiful example was created in 2009. It features their changeable leadpipe system and includes two leadpipes so you can choose which one suits your own resistance levels, and also a rear tuning slide.

On the left is a Second Hand French Besson C Trumpet. This is an American made trumpet, featuring a Najoom leadpipe, designed by Dennis Najoom of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Another brilliant sold out show here at Forsyths as part of manchester jazz festival. Olivia Cuttill and friends were enthralling. Worth all the effort to transform the showroom full of pianos into a venue for 110 people to enjoy amazing jazz!
