🚨 FIND TILLY IN TYLDESLEY!!! 🚨

As you all know, we’re currently in the middle of our refurb here at The Mort Arms… and quite frankly… I MISS WORK!!! 🤣🍻

So, starting tomorrow, I’m swapping the bar for the streets of Tyldesley with a stack of VIP invitations to our exclusive first look at the brand-new Mort Arms! ✨

🎟️ One of these golden tickets = entry to our soft launch AND a FREE BAR from 3pm-7pm!!!! 🍺🍷🥂

If you spot me, come and say hello! You don’t have to know me personally – if I’ve still got an invitation left, it’s yours! First come, first served! 👀

Of course, I want to make sure our wonderful regulars get theirs, so I’ll be hunting you down if I don’t know where you live! 😂 But this is also a brilliant chance to welcome some new faces. Let’s grow the Mort family and celebrate together!

REFURB UPDATE!!! 🤩🔨

It’s been just over a week since it all began, and here’s a few of the changes little old me can actually spot! 😂 (Loads has been done that an ignorant girl like me couldn’t possibly notice… but décor? Now that’s something I can get excited about! 😆)

✨ The lounge bar top has been stripped back and it looks brand new!
✨ A new partition has gone up in the vault to home the Bandit!
✨ A gorgeous new oak bar top has gone on the vault bar… thank GOODNESS that horrible vinyl has gone! 😍
✨ Panelling has gone up and has had its first coat of stain.
✨ A beautiful new drinks shelf has gone up in the pool/darts room, soon to be joined by some lovely new bar stools! 😁
✨ The ceilings have had their first coat of green paint… thrilling stuff! 💚
✨ The men’s entrance has been plasterboarded and blocked up.
✨ Brand new tiles have gone into the men’s.
✨ AND… both toilet windows have been replaced… and THEY OPEN!!! 😁🎉

It’s honestly so exciting watching it all come together. Every visit downstairs there’s something new to spot, and we can’t wait to throw those doors back open and welcome you all in to see it for yourselves.

Another little refurb update for you all… 🤩🍻

While it’s still very much a building site and there’s not loads to see just yet, there have been one or two HUGE structural changes… and wow, what a difference they’ve made already! 😍

The place has brightened up so much! All that gorgeous evening sunshine now streams right the way through the pub, and it’s going to look absolutely amazing! ☀️

And the bar… it’s had an extension! So clever how they’ve managed to keep the original bar but move its position and make it even better. We honestly can’t wait to be standing behind it again, pulling your pints and welcoming you all back! 🍺❤️

We’re starting to see the vision… are you? 👀✨

They don’t mess about, do they?! 🤯 The difference a day can make!!

The old Mort has almost been stripped back to the bones already! 😲 We genuinely can’t believe how different it looks… and it feels waaaaay bigger than before!

It’s so exciting to see it all happening, and we can’t wait to show you the transformation as it unfolds. We’ll keep you all updated along the way with plenty of progress pics, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀✨

The heart of the Mort will always stay the same… we’re just giving it a well-earned facelift! ❤️🍻

🚨 LAST DAY, FOLKS! 🚨

Today’s the day! After tonight we’ll be closing our doors for around 3 weeks while The Mort Arms gets a full refurb! 🍻✨

If you’ve ever fancied one last pint surrounded by the decor that’s looked the same for as long as most of us can remember, today’s your chance! Come and soak it all in, take a few mental pictures, and say a little farewell to the old place before it gets its well-deserved refresh.

Don’t worry though… we’re only changing the surface. ❤️ The heart of The Mort Arms, the atmosphere, the laughs, and all of you lovely lot will still be exactly the same when we reopen – just with a fresh new look!

A massive thank you to everyone who’s supported us over the years. We can’t wait to welcome you back in a few weeks and show you the new Mort!

But it’s a bittersweet one… this is the last Fizz Friday in the old Mort Arms! ❤️

After this weekend we’ll be closing our doors for a full refurbishment, giving the pub a well-deserved facelift while keeping all the traditional Mort charm we know and love. We honestly can’t wait to welcome you all back to a fresh new look!

Get those bums in seats and let’s roar the Three Lions all the way to the final! 🤞 We’ve got everything crossed – fingers, toes, lucky pants… the lot! 😂
