Today we had our last Thrive class before our Summer closure- we will be back in September-

Tromso,. Norway, midnight sun marathon.
A marathon that starts at 8.30pm and you run through the night. It’s 24hr daylight at this time of year so it’s a very surreal experience. This race has been on my wish list for many years so this year, as I turned 60, I decided to treat myself to it! I’m thrilled to have won my age group (60-64) and finished 38th woman out of a field of 580 women who started the race! Not a bad result for an old girl.
Time.. 3 hrs 38 mins 59 seconds!

🟣 Wonderful Vikki is running around Norway this week, so there wil be no Les Mills THRIVE class on Thursday 18th June.

There will be a final.class on June 25th- and then Malvern Vale is closing for our improvement project-
We will let you all know when Vikki returns (September time).

Big improvements are coming to Malvern Vale Community Centre!

More than £500,000 of improvement works are set to start at Malvern Vale Community Centre, with works starting on 29 June and expected to be completed by 28 August 2026.

The project will deliver:
☕ A new café and servery
🏢 Flexible multi-use meeting spaces
🔄 An improved internal layout to support a wider range of community activities

The improvements are designed to create a more welcoming, versatile space for residents, groups and visitors, helping to strengthen wellbeing and social connections across the local community.
