Meet your 2026 line up:

First up it’s me, Ellen. I’m the founder and owner of LND Events (a bad play on my own name). I’ve been in the industry since 2012 and full time since 2016 so will be celebrating my 10 years in August.
I take care of all private and full plan events as well as overseeing the team’s work.

Emily has been with me for a few years now after a successful career managing a specific venue. Emily takes care of her own weddings from start to finish but is currently enjoying some well deserved maternity leave.

Emma joined the team last year. Those of you who have worked in the industry as long as me, may well know her from her past role at a particular venue and in fact, Emma was the first person to ever give me guidance when I started in the industry so I am honoured she wanted to reconnect.

Joining us this year are Kerrie and Becky. Both experienced coordinators in their own right, they’re an asset to have on board and make sure we’ve got you all covered. 🥰

2026 wedding countdown is on!!

Part 2

Every December I try to create a wedding highlight reel of my year but this year real life won (which I’m thrilled about but the algorithm hates me) and I’m behind on gallery collecting so here’s something a bit different. I’m sharing in two halves as summarising has never been my strong point and I had to pick this song as it’s been the soundtrack to my year with thanks to my kids!

July
A tale of two halves with the weather. Heartbreak for with THE foggiest wedding day, but it turned into something seriously special… I’ve just seen the gallery.
And… my first summer holiday in 10 years 🥹

August
Holiday mode lingered, then back to galleries landing, being exceptionally well fed at weddings and launching .ited_workshop Vol. 2.

September
Birthday month so I treated myself to a riding lesson, honoured to be welcomed back into family homes, floated in a sound bath and tidied up big days.

October
Last weddings of 2025, a dreamy river cabin stay, delivered ‘Organic’ by .ited_workshop with the best team and attendees, 2026 site visits and found ancient graffiti of my initials at Hampton Court Palace.

November
Final (including a very special collab), Lapland UK magic, snow chaos, still made a team meeting and new connections in … watch this space.

December
Venue consultation for a diversifying farm, exploring potential new Ed.ited venues, festive prep and grateful sunrise views.

2025 brought more balance than I’ve had in years.
Weddings will always be seasonal and intense, but looking back on these moments fills me with gratitude for my freelance team, our wider support network, the space to rest, try new things and the energy I’m taking into 2026 🥰

I’m sharing in two halves as summarising has never been my strong point and I had to pick this song as it’s been the soundtrack to my year with thanks to my kids!

January
Zooms were back. Team meetings with couples at our partner venues, snowy walks (with breakfast), the kids selected to be the faces of the York Ice trail and a North East trip.

February
Borrowed a horse, visited art galleries and finally shared footage from my first .ited_workshop

March
Catering networking (always a yes), puppy became our LND mascot and we officially introduced via our branding shoot.

April
Wedding season began, site visits for 2026, hosted my first and said yes to styled shoots again.

May
Added more ink, covered more beautiful weddings and protected time for reformer Pilates.

June
A logistically tricky wedding pulled off flawlessly, another styled shoot ticked off, paddleboarding with (she nailed it, I… didn’t) and discovered 🤍

Pt two to follow.

A moment for the couple - and the cake

Interactive cake photos are becoming my new favourite. I'm a big fan of cake but I understand it's not for everyone. 2024 saw a huge decline in them being part of LND weddings but this year, small cutting cakes have made an appearance again and I love it - look at the fun you can have with the right set up.

and made a breathtaking setting for the larger cakes but I love the playfulness of the cutting cake images too.

Those views

Excuse me whilst I geek out on architecture, but one of my favourite parts of is the venue's arched doors - mirrored at both ends of the hallway so you can see from lakeside to the lawns.
This felt the perfect place to set up an intimate dining scene, of which the weather god's certainly agreed with us and allowed and to work their magic on the tablescape.

My events for 2025 ended in October but I've given myself the rest of Autumn to have a mental reset before I get going again. I've learned how important that is for me, to avoid burnout because despite there being less seasonality in weddings, there's no denying summer will always remain the busiest time.
This time of year is about reflection and with that, I get to soak in everything that has been achieved at LND and with all the fabulous people I get to work with, starting with this gorgeous shoot at back in spring.

Newburgh is one of my favourite places to work and the team who brought this together were a joy to be part of.

I always ask my couples for a review after the big day (and the team do the same).
Not just for future couples (though it does help them feel confident putting such an important day in our hands), but also because… let’s be honest, it’s nice to be told you did a bloody good job.

Planning a wedding takes heart, headspace, and a whole lot of hustle and hearing that all the effort made a real difference... That’s the kind of validation that keeps me going.

Every review means something special. But now and then, one comes along that genuinely stops me in my tracks, smile (perhaps cry a little) and feel proud of myself. So this deserves its moment in the spotlight.

Yes, I’m shouting about it. And yes, I think that’s perfectly OK.

Interrupting usual posting about other people’s events, to talk about one of my own… nine years ago.

Happy anniversary to the one who puts up with me the most.
Sixteen years together and what a crazy ride it’s been.

We picked this song for our first dance on a whim - no one had ever heard of it but now it’s quite popular. So here’s a few slides to accompany it - a sneak peek into my own big day.

You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know

Booking your dream band before securing the venue?
Telling your guests you're getting married at home without knowing the site access?
Or spending 80% of your budget on styling, with no contingency for logistics?

These are real stories I could tell you a lot more about...

A planner’s job is to see the whole picture from day one and steer you away from costly missteps.

The best bit? With the teams we can bring together, we still make it look gorgeous.

You Deserve to Be Present

Your wedding morning shouldn't be about managing anything but mimosas, music, and meaningful moments.

It definitely shouldn't be about chasing suppliers, moving chairs, or solving problems you didn’t know could exist.

A planner makes sure you (and your loved ones) stay in the moment, not in a logistics frenzy.

You get to just show up. We’ll handle the rest.

Behind the scenes

The most beautiful wedding can still fall apart behind the scenes without someone experienced pulling the strings.
Investing in a planner isn’t about giving up control. It’s about gaining peace of mind and knowing someone has your back from the very first decision to the final fizz pour.
