We recently had the pleasure of welcoming to Birdsall House for an exclusive client test drive experience.

Guests enjoyed the opportunity to explore the beautiful country roads surrounding the estate, taking in sweeping views across the Yorkshire Wolds from behind the wheel of some truly exceptional cars, including the DBX S, Vantage S, DB12 Volante and Vanquish.

After their drive, they returned to Birdsall House to enjoy our warm hospitality, with coffee, brunch and lunch served throughout the day.

The Aston Martins may have been the stars of the road, but our resident peacocks were determined not to be outshone, proudly displaying their feathers and stealing a little of the spotlight for themselves.

A heartfelt thank you to and their guests for spending the day with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Birdsall House again soon.

We always delight in helping guests bring their creative ideas to life, and it was a particular pleasure to host Hilary's wonderfully imaginative Bridgerton-themed birthday party

Guests were welcomed by the sounds of violinist performing beloved melodies inspired by Bridgerton, before gathering for a beautiful dinner in the Ballroom by . The evening also featured a traditional Georgian minuet, adding a touch of Regency elegance to the festivities.

From the music and dancing to the laughter shared among family and friends, it was a joy to see the house come alive with such a memorable celebration.

Many happy returns, Hilary.

Within the 300-year-old gardens of Birdsall House, designed by Thomas Knowlton, a pupil of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, sweeping banks of rhododendrons are now in full bloom, transforming the estate with vivid pinks, deep reds, rich purples and soft yellows.

We were delighted to welcome award-winning photographer ARPS, a Royal Horticultural Society medal winner for Botanical Photography (2021 & 2023), to capture the gardens at their seasonal peak.

Originally from Asia, rhododendrons thrive in acidic woodland soils, which is why they are so often found in and around wooded landscapes. Rhododendron comes from the Greek words “rhodo” meaning rose and “dendron” meaning tree, translating to “rose tree”, a reference to the large shrubs or small trees on which they grow.

Introduced to the UK in the 18th and 19th centuries, they quickly became a favourite of Victorian estate gardens for their dramatic colour and abundance. And even today, they continue to transform the grounds into sweeping drifts of colour.

Thank you Julie, for capturing the beauty of these striking flowers so wonderfully.
