What a day at Forrester Park GC

Today David Gillespie made a magnificent 'Hole In One' on the 146 yard, 9th Hole, using an 8-iron.

This was made even more remarkable as David was representing Forrester Park in The Essex Seniors Team Plate competition!

What a fabulous achievement in a County Competition!!

Par 3's.
160 yards for some players is a 9-iron, whilst for others it can be a Driver! It's difficult to set the course up to suit all players and abilities.
The greens staff are always trying to mix up the pin positions, tee positions and the difficulty of the holes.

Today, we played the Leigh Higgs Memorial Medal competition. It was great to see Ted Higgs playing and enjoying his time with us.

This years winner of the Leigh Higgs Jug is John Price with a nett 67 - which is a brilliant score considering how many injuries he carries around 😊

The Vets had their annual 'Fun Day' competition today where you can win prizes for being nearly O.O.B or being in a bunker or even being shortest from the tee!

It's a great day which is followed by our fantastic Home cooked Ham, Eggs & Chips.

Our Leslie Woods team, who played at Clacton GC today. The guys played some really good golf but were just beaten 8.5 to 6.5 on the day.

It's always difficult playing golf away from home, they were really close to pulling off a win.
