Boughton Monchelsea Village Fete and Dog Show

We were very keen to ensure that the burgers, sausages and buns left over from the village fete went to a good home - and we’ve managed just that! Thank you to Helen Terrell, and Phil Marsh and Ursula Marsh for making it happen!

This lovely lady and gent are from Boughton Monchelsea Village Fete and Dog Show who held an event recently.

There were items that were not used, and they were extremely generous in letting us have these boxes of buns, rolls, susages and burgers.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in or came to the village fete and dog show yesterday! It was certainly a warm one!

Our thanks to Boughton Monchelsea Parish Council, Boughton Monchelsea Village Hall and Boughton Monchelsea Recreation Ground committees for enabling us to put the event on.

Thank you to our entertainers Northwood Acoustic Duo and Duncan Doughnut. You both provided a great performance! And thank you Hartley Owls for their static owl display. We know it was very popular!

Thanks to the companies who sponsors stalls at the event including Firmin Farms (dog show and climbing wall) and The Golden Boot. Your ongoing support is much appreciated.

Thanks to Boughton Monchelsea Social Club for joining us this year and ensuring no one was left thirsty!

Thank you to all the lovely stall holders who joined us; there are too many to name, but you know who you are! We had a lovely variety of stalls and activities on offer for the community to enjoy this year.

Thank you to all our amazing committee members and our other volunteers and helpers - you know who you are, and we couldn’t have done it without you - you are all superstars! Thank you!

The welly-wanging stall, kindly sponsored by The Golden Boot was in full force at the village fete yesterday! Despite a couple of wellies finding their way into the trees, we had lots of fun and some good ‘wangs’ were achieved!

The world tight stretching competition was back in full force at the fete yesterday thanks to Polly Mick Woodhams, and I can now share the results for those who missed them at the end of the afternoon. It’s nearly here…drum roll please! 🥁 Come and join us on Saturday from 12-5pm 🗓️ you’re sure of a great time! 👏🏻

There’s lots to eat 🍔 🍕🌮🍰🧁🍦🍩 🌭and drink 🍻🍷🥂 🍺🍹🍸☕️. There’s lots of entertainment for the big people and the little people alike🦉🎸🎤🎶🐶🤹🪄🐐♠️♦️🐾 and with over 60 stallholders, there’s got to be something for everyone! 🙌🏻

Make sure you come equipped for the warm weather ☀️ 🌡️ and stay hydrated 💦. Bring your 🕶️, your🧴, your 🧢 , and of course some 💸 too!

***Don’t forget the date of the village fete - Saturday 21st June, from 12-5pm!***

It looks like it’s going to be a warm one with lots of sunshine ☀️ so don’t forget your sun glasses 😎 or your sunscreen 🧴and please ensure your dogs 🐶 coming to the dog show are kept 🆒 and hydrated 💦.
(We will have water bowls dotted around the recreation ground too!)

It’s 4 days and counting until the village fete!

There will be lots of refreshments to keep you going on the day - we have our BBQ, yummy pizzas from Nea-Polish Pizza and a Mexican food truck attending! And of course you can wash it all down with a Pimms, sparkling elderflower, teas & coffees from the WI, or of course a great selection of beers, wines, spirits, and cider from the Boughton Monchelsea Social Club
