This is why our Dolls are so special. 🌟 They’re fixers, doers and problem-solvers.

Every couple, every venue and every day is different, which means the role of a Doll changes every single time. There are things we know to expect and things we can train for, but there are also so many little scenarios that only happen in the moment.

Whatever the day throws at them, they’ll make it work. From sourcing extra ice on the hottest day of the year, to tying napkins, carrying a wedding cake across a field, steaming tablecloths, rolling marquee sides up and down because the weather can’t make its mind up, pouring popcorn for guests, fixing something unexpected five minutes before the ceremony… or simply stepping in wherever needed without anyone even noticing.

It’s impossible to fully explain everything a Doll does on a wedding day, but that’s exactly the point. They see what needs doing, they get on with it, and they make the day feel seamless for everyone else. ✨

Charlene & Douglas’ wedding at was one of those days that reminds us why we love what we do so much. ✨

They booked us later on in the planning journey, after choosing one of the most unique venues we’ve ever had the pleasure of working in. With celebrations flowing across different rooms and spaces throughout the day, our role was to help bring all of their ideas together into one seamless plan that felt relaxed, natural and enjoyable for everyone there.

And wow… what a day for it. ☀️ It was the hottest day of the year so far, with guests enjoying pre-ceremony drinks in the courtyard that honestly felt more like a boutique hotel tucked away in Italy than the English countryside.

Behind the scenes, there were lots of moving parts. We set the ceremony room, coordinated alongside two close friends DJing throughout the day and evening, and worked with another friend managing the ceremony music while we were hidden behind the ceremony space ready for one of the most important moments of the day… opening both doors perfectly for Charlene’s entrance. 🤍

The final walkthrough before guests arrive is such an important part of our day ✨

This is the moment where we go over everything one last time to make sure it’s all exactly as it should be for our couple.

From checking the overall setup and grounds, right down to the smallest details like glassware lining up perfectly, decorations sitting correctly and making sure everything is positioned exactly where it needs to be, nothing gets overlooked.

These final checks are what help a wedding day feel seamless once guests begin arriving. It allows our couples to simply relax, take it all in and enjoy every second knowing everything around them has been carefully looked after 🤍

When it comes to someone’s wedding day, the little details matter just as much as the big ones.

As a couple based in the U.S. planning a wedding at Hever Castle in Kent - where much of our family and many friends live - we knew we needed an exceptional planner to help us navigate the process from across the world. When I began planning, I was about three months pregnant with our first child. While I was filled with joy, I also felt overwhelmed. From the moment I met Joanne from Wedding Dolls, I knew we were in the best hands.

I'm known for being thoughtful about who I work with, and Joanne exceeded every expectation. Over a year and a half of planning, she guided us through every detail with warmth, professionalism, and care. She was a constant wedding planning support through my pregnancy and into early motherhood, always making sure the process felt manageable and joyful.

Our job is making sure couples don’t feel any of that pressure and instead just get to soak up every second of it. 🤍

Henry & Roseanna’s day was completely beautiful and, despite the weather trying to keep us on our toes, seeing it all come together so seamlessly was incredibly special. ✨

One thing we’ve learnt from coordinating weddings… there’s no “right” answer. The best weddings are always the ones that feel most like you. 🤍

Amie & Alex’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder of why dry hire weddings feel so personal. 🤍✨

Every detail reflected them perfectly, and we felt very lucky to play a small part in bringing it all together.

Behind the scenes, there’s always so much involved with a dry hire venue. Schedules, suppliers, setup timings, last-minute questions and making sure everything flows smoothly throughout the day.

Sometimes we genuinely wonder how couples do it without a coordinator. 👀

Our biggest priority is making sure couples can actually enjoy their wedding day instead of managing it.

No checking timings.
No supplier phone calls.
No worrying about what’s happening next.

Just being fully present with the people they love most. ✨

One of the loveliest things Amie said afterwards was:
“I truly cannot imagine having done this day without them.” 🤍

Over the years we’ve been called wedding angels, wedding ninjas, fairy godmothers and even pre-marriage therapists… 😂

But the truth is, what we do is so much more than setting things up and keeping a timeline on track.

🙈It takes experience to spot problems before they happen, that be on a timeline or on the day.
🪷It takes calmness when emotions are running high.
🫂It takes empathy to know when someone needs reassurance, space, a hug… or just someone to quietly say “don’t worry, we’ve got this.”

What makes a great wedding coordinator is caring about the day just as much as the couple do. 🤍

Having the best day ever, exactly as they should. 🤍

Huge thanks to Laura and Fab for having us as part of such a special day.

We were so pleased to support them on their big day and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Whilst Laura, Fab and their guests relaxed, celebrated and soaked up every moment, we were quietly working away in the background making sure the day flowed exactly as it should, following the timeline we built together beforehand.

That’s the beauty of having on the day coordinators. You get to stay fully present in the moment while we take care of everything happening behind the scenes.
