Born in the summer of 2025, when Mark Gwinnett and Chris Hughes set out with a simple but powerful idea: bring generations together on the dance floor. No barriers. No labels. Just music, energy and connection under open skies.
The setting? The terrace at The Yeoman in Bearsted, sun dipping low, drinks flowing and a sound that hits somewhere between nostalgia and the future. Think underground house and techno pulsing through the system, seamlessly fused with iconic cuts from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, all reimagined and recharged for the dance floor. Familiar, but flipped. Classic, but with a serious kick.
That first terrace session in late summer 2025 set the tone. Over 400 people, all ages, all vibes, dancing shoulder to shoulder from golden hour into the night. No egos, just pure, shared euphoria. That was the moment PUBLIC HOUSE became something bigger.
Since then, the energy has evolved.
A monthly residency at SOCIAL Maidstone took things deeper, darker, and a little more mischievous for adults only, launched in November 2025, The Night Bastards Sessions were born, late-night, bass-heavy, sweat-on-the-walls type of nights that have been shaking the SOCIAL dance floor ever since, providing a revitalised soundtrack and restoring Maidstone's reputation as one of the key hubs for electronic dance music and parties in Kent.
Now, it all comes full circle.
PUBLIC HOUSE returns to The Yeoman terrace this summer with three open-air sessions ready to raise the bar once again, while the SOCIAL residency continues to push boundaries after dark. And if that wasnβt enough, a full-scale street party at SOCIAL Maidstone is on the horizonβ¦ set to be one of the most forward-thinking, electrifying parties Kent will see this summer.
This is PUBLIC HOUSE. Come down and join The Night Bastards at SOCIAL Maidstone when they return on Saturday 28th March. ππβ€οΈπ₯πΊπ»ππ»
