If you're new here… HELLO! 👋 I’m Rachel — an absolutely fantastic dog walker in Maidenhead (despite what the seasonal Karens might say 😉).
You might be here because you're simply scrolling and being nosey 👀…
OR you might be here because you're thinking about getting a dog walker.
If it’s the latter, keep reading — I might just be your dog’s new favourite person. 🐶❤️
🐾 So, who am I?
I started dog walking because, like most dog walkers, I wanted to be my own boss and spend my days with animals.
Very original. Very cliché. 😅
Fast forward 5 years, and I’ve definitely had my fair share of bumps, learning curves, muddy trousers and “WHY are you eating that?!” moments.
But somewhere along the way, I realised…
I have officially nailed being a crazy dog lady. 😂
🌳 So what do the dogs actually get up to?
We (just me and the dogs, by the way — I don’t have a secret colleague hiding in the bushes 🤣) head out for off-lead walks in woodland and fields, safely away from roads.
They get space to sniff, explore, run, play, socialise and generally behave like the absolute weirdos they were born to be.
And I get to spend my days watching them have the time of their lives.
It's a pretty good job, really. 😝
🐕 But I don't just chuck your dog into a van and hope for the best…
I use a 3-walk introduction process so that your dog gets the chance to build confidence with me and the group gradually.
Walk 1 — Testing the waters 🌊
The first walk is always on lead.
This gives me the chance to see how your dog feels about me, the other dogs and the whole group-walking situation without throwing them straight into the deep end.
Walk 2 — A little more freedom 🐾
We're still on lead, but this time we introduce a long line, giving your dog more freedom to explore, interact and play while I continue to assess how they're getting on.
Walk 3 — The big one! 🎉
By now, your dog has hopefully figured out who I am — and more importantly, that me arriving at the door means WALKIES!
This often results in very excited waggy tails, barks and general chaos.
Nightmare. Absolutely terrible. I hate it. 😂
With your permission, and depending on how the first two walks have gone, this is when I may allow your dog off lead.
Their safety and wellbeing always come first, and I make that decision based on how I feel they've settled into the group.
❤️ One small warning…
If you choose me as your dog walker, there is a very high chance I will become completely obsessed with your dog.
I will know their quirks.
I will know their favourite things.
I will probably have approximately 700 photos of them on my phone.
And when the day eventually comes that you no longer need me…
I will probably cry.
You've been warned. 😂
🐶 Fancy giving it a go?
I offer a FREE meet & greet and first walk to anyone considering my services.
That means you can meet me, I can meet your dog, we can have a chat and you can see how they get on — with absolutely no obligation to continue if you don't think I'm the right fit.
Because finding the right person to look after your dog is a big deal.
📋 And finally… the boring bit.
I don't have many terms and conditions.
None of this “you must book two walks a week” or “pay me a holiday retainer while you're lying on a beach” malarkey. 😂
I simply ask:
🐾 Need to cancel a booked walk?
Please give me 48 hours' notice.
🐾 No longer need my services?
Please give me 2 weeks' notice.
That's it.
So, if you're looking for a dog walker in Maidenhead who genuinely loves dogs, gives them the freedom to be dogs, and is probably going to become far too emotionally attached to your pooch…
Drop me a whatsapp on 07570074995. 🐶💌
I’d love to meet you — and, let's be honest, mostly your dog. 😝
