Macclesfield Vinyl Night It’s Karaoke for DJs So we are excited to announce vinyl only nights at the Acoustic Lounge, Park Lane, Poynton. This is for everyone and anyone.

Poynton Vinyl Night (PVN)

Following on from the success of our very popular monthly Marple Vinyl Nights (MVN) at the Norfolk Arms in Marple Bridge now into its 3rd year and the newly formed Hayfield Vinyl Nights (HVN) at The George Hotel in Hayfield. This will be hosted by a local Poynton resident Christian Howe who is a member of both MVN and HVN nights and is keen to bring these special night

s to the people of Poynton. No previous experience necessary as there will be a member of the team ready to help you with the equipment. A minimum of 3 vinyl or 10 minute sets dependent on how many dj's put their names on the list. Get down early and get your name down as once the set list is full that’s it until the next one….

We were sad to hear of the passing of Steve Barrow on the 27th May. Largely unknown outside of reggae circles he is truly another key figure in the Manchester annals of music. Steve founded Blood & Fire records with Mick Hucknall in Manchester in 1993, specialising in reissuing lost and classic reggae albums, focusing on ensuring the highest level of quality musically and artistically. He is credited with bringing key artists and albums to the attention of the world, most notably The Congos, with their reissued album Heart of the Congos now considered a masterpiece. RIP Steve
