Our story as a wedding venue began over twenty years ago, when we first decided to juggle lambs with ceremony chairs and cows with PA systems. But our story as Heaton House Farm starte

We’ve been family owned and operated for six generations, growing from a small working farm to a place for families from all across the world to celebrate the most special of occasions. We still farm the land and raise a small number of animals to this day, all whilst hosting some of the most spectacular weddings imaginable, all year round. As a fully equipped, state-of-the art-event venue, Heaton House Farm has everything an engaged couple need to make their day perfect. It’s also the ideal place for corporate conferences, large events and sensational parties. Our award-winning events team and expert operations team oversee every little detail in the running of the farm and the events that take place here every day. We’ve got amazing facilities inside that blend seamlessly with the rustic exterior of our sandstone barns – including a beautiful bridal preparation room, luxurious underfloor heating and award-winning toilets. From delicious catering and an on-site bar, to four unique ceremony areas and gorgeous overnight accommodation – we’ve got everything you could possibly need to share the wedding of your dreams with us.

📜 HISTORY OF HEATON HOUSE FARM (Part 6) 📜Ever wondered about the history of The Old Stableyard at Heaton House Farm and how it became the wonderful breakfast room it is today? 🙌

Originally, the building served as the milking parlour for the farm’s dairy herd. When the herd was sold, the building became redundant until 2008, when it was rented to a former pub landlord who launched local business Wincle Beer Company Ltd. As the brewery grew in popularity, it moved to larger premises in 2012, leaving the building ready for its next chapter. 🍻

Meanwhile, Margaret had been running a small bed and breakfast in the farmhouse since 2000, welcoming wedding guests. As weddings at Heaton House Farm grew, more accommodation was needed. In 2013, The Old Stableyard was transformed to include eight beautiful bedrooms, a kitchen and restaurant, with each room individually designed by Margaret using local craftsmen and materials.

Today, The Old Stableyard is where couples and their guests enjoy a relaxed breakfast the morning after their wedding, and is also available for private hire for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, small weddings and any other unforgettable occassion! 🤩

There’s something so special about celebrating in the countryside ✨

As a barn wedding venue surrounded by beautiful landscapes, we truly have no shortage of gorgeous outdoor spaces to enjoy and endless photo opportunities to treasure forever. From golden summer evenings to crisp autumn colours, frosty winter mornings and fresh spring blooms, every season brings its own breathtaking backdrop 🍃

From our North Lawn and iconic sycamore tree, we have witnessed many unforgettable moments unfold outdoors - from outdoor ceremonies beneath the pagoda facing the tree, to mini golf, bouncy castles, and relaxed drinks in the sunshine. ☀️

Beyond the venue itself, the surrounding countryside meadows create the dreamiest setting for romantic photographs, and we have even had multiple unforgettable entrances by helicopter… which was definitely the coolest entrance to your own wedding, ever! 🚁

And of course, we can’t forget our private Water Gardens, reserved exclusively for our couples and their photographer. Tucked away behind a secret door, this hidden space is the perfect little escape for a quiet moment together. With romantic lily ponds, stunning rockeries and cascading waterfalls, it’s a place to truly relax, soak it all in and enjoy the magic of the day ✨

Lisa and Jordan’s wedding was the perfect blend of rustic romance and countryside charm! ✨

Long rustic trestle tables dressed with lush fresh greenery from Venue Perfection created the dreamiest setting, with a wonderful ceremony under the night sky. A beautiful nod to their farming roots came through in every detail, especially the showstopping tractor tyre welcome sign and tractors themselves that made the most unique photo opportunity for them and their guests! 🌿🚜

And then comes our stunning ‘rainbow’ lighting 🌈✨ - creating the most magical atmosphere as the sun begins to set and the party gets started.
