We’ve been family owned and operated for six generations, growing from a small working farm to a place for families from all across the world to celebrate the most special of occasions. We still farm the land and raise a small number of animals to this day, all whilst hosting some of the most spectacular weddings imaginable, all year round. As a fully equipped, state-of-the art-event venue, Heaton House Farm has everything an engaged couple need to make their day perfect. It’s also the ideal place for corporate conferences, large events and sensational parties. Our award-winning events team and expert operations team oversee every little detail in the running of the farm and the events that take place here every day. We’ve got amazing facilities inside that blend seamlessly with the rustic exterior of our sandstone barns – including a beautiful bridal preparation room, luxurious underfloor heating and award-winning toilets. Named in honour of Mick’s grandad, Ralph Steele, this incredible and adaptable space has grown into the heart of our wonderful venue. 🍽️🚜

Based in Staffordshire, Steve has spent the last decade shooting hundreds of weddings across the UK and abroad. At each and every wedding, Steve’s mission is always the same: simply to capture the honest, incredible story of your wedding day through his photography. We asked Steve for more information on his amazing achievements, and he shared:

'My photography work has been featured in leading UK and international mainstream and industry media, including Channel 4, ELLE Magazine, Hello Magazine, Rock n Roll Bride, Rock My Wedding, Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, Brides up North, Way Out Wedding, The Bijou Bride, Boho Weddings, You & Your Wedding Magazine and Looks Like Film.'

How did Steve fall into his profession, you ask? 🔍

Steve has been in photography for as long as he can remember!
'My Dad worked in the industry, so it was inevitable that I had cameras bought for me as gifts while growing up. I briefly studied A level photography at collage, before landing myself my first photography role, working at Staffordshire Police Has a HQ photographer which, as you can imagine, is extremely challenging, but I learned a hell of a lot under the guidance of a highly skilled head photographer that really showed me the bones of photography and film, developing digital work. After a few years in that role, I realised that I had to be able to explore my creative side and naturally gravitated towards weddings, which I found I was pretty damn good at!'

✨Steve’s top tip:

'The most important thing for all couples to take on board is to simply have fun and enjoy every minute of their wedding day! As a photographer, I don’t need anything from a couple to capture great photos; they simply need to be themselves and leave the creativity to me.'

🗨️Steve’s favourite thing about working at Heaton House Farm?

'Both the indoor and outdoor space at Heaton House Farm means there are so many great opportunities to capture great photos. A particular location for me has to be the iconic sycamore tree, which, when photographed at golden hour, is pure magic.'🌳
